Anyone who reads my posts on a regular basis knows I’m not a big fan of reality stars. There is so rarely anything real about reality shows and the stars are no different. That said, I really like Kim Kardashian. There’s just something about Kim that appeals to me. I’m not a big fan of her sisters or the assorted relatives on her show, but Kim makes me smile. I love the way she dresses and isn’t afraid to try different things but isn’t out to be shocking or over the top. She has smart style sense and unlike, say, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga (both of whom I also love) wears things you could see the average woman wearing. There are some exceptions, of course, but in general, Kim wears clothes that wouldn’t look completely out of place in any big city setting. I’ve often said if one celebrity could make me over it would be Kim Kardashian. While it would never happen, a girl can dream.

I’m sorry. I just don’t GET IT! The whole Kardasian clan is a bunch of fat-assed pigs who will, seemingly, do anything to garner attention. Nothing is too outrageous. And you folks just keep sucking it up. Are you so hard up to report anything of significance?
Hi, A Casual Observer. Just curious how long you’ve been casually observing this site. Take a look around. This isn’t a site to report anything of significance. We just post pictures of celebs and, like it or not, the Kardashians are celebs. If you’re coming here for deep, meaningful posts about relevant social issues you have come to the wrong page, buddy. There is a time and a place for all of that, but that time isn’t now and that place isn’t here.
Now I’m not trying to start a war or words here because, quite frankly, the Kardashians just aren’t worth the time. I happen to agree with you on most of the points you made except there is no ‘seemingly’ about it. They will do anything to garner attention. They’re not alone though and, heck, they’re not even the worst. We live in a culture that puffs these girls up and turns them into household names. If no one cared, we wouldn’t keep writing. You, yourself, took the time to comment. There are great celebs there that don’t buy into their own hype but I rarely get the opportunity to write about them. Why? Because no one cares.
Anyway, my point is, don’t make judgments on the people writing these posts (me) based on who we write about. I’m given the pictures and I write my post. I love it, in all honesty and I’m not going to make apologies for that. I get to write something light and fun and sometimes, I get to rant about someone I don’t really care for. Kim K isn’t one of those people. Sure she’s trashy and sure she would do anything to extend her fifteen minutes, but welcome to Hollywood. Take a look around. There are a lot of Kim’s out there. She just happens to do it with a little style and I enjoy that. At the same time, would the world be a better place if Keeping Up with the Kardashians had never hit the airwaves? Probably. Add to the list Jersey Shore and The Hills and… all of those other so-called reality shows. Put Survivor on there too and Big Brother. You want reality? Step outside your front door and live life because you’re not going to find it on tv.
