I know, I know. People have a problem with Miley’s hair. I think it’s fantastic but that’s just my opinion. I think the style makes a statement – she’s done trying to be the girl everyone wants her to be and she’s going to focus on being herself. I love that. Here at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, what really gets my attention though is that dress she’s wearing. Talk about daring! When I see dresses like this, I can’t help wondering how it is possible to avoid a nip slip. My nips would be slipping all over the place. I bet the makers of double sided tape get a lot of business from Hollywood come award season. In any event, I like Miley’s look here. I love the hair and I even like the dress. It’s more mature but it’s still flirty, fun and youthful. This is a young woman ready to strike on her own and she’s using her appearance as a way to signal that. I support her entirely. Miley, you and I have had our differences in the past, but I’m totally on board now. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

From the front, this is a pretty great look for pop singer, JoJo. She has great legs and a unique, young and fresh style. What I wasn’t crazy about, however, was the side/rear view of the dress. I don’t like the giant puff of material on the back. It isn’t flattering and it distracts from an otherwise awesome look. I guess I just don’t understand the kids these days or something. I suppose it’s all fashionable and the MTV Video Music Awards are known for over the top fashion statements, but this look just doesn’t work for me overall. From the front though, JoJo looks awesome. It just would’ve been better without the puff.

Fresh off her honeymoon, Kim Kardashian hit the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in a clingy silver dress with an open back putting her most famous asset on display. Here’s the thing. I don’t really like Kim Kardashian. She’s one of those celebrities that’s famous for no good reason but I’ve always really liked her red carpet style. That isn’t true in this set of pictures. While her ass looks good, the fit of the dress seems off. It doesn’t really seem to compliment her the way most of her fashion choices do. This was a real disappointment for me. Perhaps she was too busy with her wedding and honeymoon to really take the time to work with her stylist on a nice dress so I’ll give her a pass on this one.

Jennifer Lopez could not have looked more stunning or alluring than while wearing her gold Louis Vuitton mini skirt, peep-toe ankle-strap pumps, and clutching her black python Ferragamo maxi clutch with metal gancio. Is it just me or is “I Kissed A Girl” singer Katy Perry evolving? Her look is different these days and I’m guessing her fans love it! Here’s Katy during her appearance at MTV’s TRL in Milan. I’m lovin’ the bangs! isn’t Katy working it? The leggings are a bit trashy but hey, that’s the signature Katy look. Katy has a lovely smile and I’m glad that her new hairstyle frames her face well. Katy Perry held a press conference to make a big announcement. Perry said she was awarded the contract for hosting the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards. This press release was given at Saint Georges Hall, in Liverpool, England. Perry wore a floral dress and looked demured. Perry said she was amazed with her big chance at exposing herself in Europe. No doubt, her music album will enjoy the stint of publicity and sales will be boosted.
