I gotta be honest – a lot makes me proud to be Canadian but somewhere close to the top of the list is the quality of talent we sometimes turn out. Laura Vandervoort is a great example of what I mean by that. She’s beautiful. She’s talented and she doesn’t seem to have that “I’m going to be a star” ego about her. This is a young lady who has put a lot of time and effort into building a solid career. I don’t think that’s paid off just yet but I don’t doubt it will one day. In these photos, we see Laura walking around Vancouver looking casual yet sexy. I love the outfit she’s opted for here. It compliments her but doesn’t make her look like she’s trying to stand out and get attention.  Very lovely young lady with a great career ahead of her.

American actress Nadia Bjorlin, former Miss Teen Florida USA second runner up and returning Days of Our Lives soap opera star, was poppin out (literally and literarilly) during the Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony recently. While her gown did look interesting, I guess your attention will really be directed to her generous breasts, which were basically shouting “Hello, look at us!” to all the hungry paps waiting to snap her photo. Nadia Alexandra Björlin (credited as Bjorlin) made her first mark when she appeared in the famous and long running soap opera Days Of Our Lives. She left the show for a bit and now she’s back — and with a vengeance (as you can obviously see in these pictures)! She looks very sultry, don’t you think so? With sexy peeks of her lovely bosom area, of her ultra enticing long legs and of her gorgeous face, I think many males will now slowly but surely tune in to Days…if only to see Nadia.

I’m afraid to admit this, but I have never heard Carley Rae Jepsen’s hit song, “Call Me Maybe”. I’m not sure how I’ve avoided it as apparently it’s every where but I have. Here’s the weirdest thing about Carley Rae Jepsen for me. A few months back, I noticed she started randomly following me on Twitter. I thought that was bizarre. Anyway, kind of beside the point. I haven’t heard the song but I do remember seeing her on “Canadian Idol” way back in 2007. I also believe I have her debut album tucked away somewhere in my house and I seem to recall enjoying it so I’m going to say that I like her. Here at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in California, Carly looks beautiful although I have to admit, I’m not big on any of the outfits she’s wearing. They compliment her, I suppose. I guess they’re just not really my style. All the same, I think she’s gorgeous and from what I recall, she’s talented so I’m a fan. I’ll have to check out the new album maybe.

As a Canadian, I always feel the need to like Canadian celebrities. It’s a country pride thing. I’m proud to be Canadian and I’m proud of the talent Canada produces. Then there’s Jayde Nicole. Why do I have a problem with her and not Pam Anderson? I can’t quite explain it, to be honest. Jayde is pretty and mostly famous for her Playboy pictorials for which she was named Playmate of the Year in 2008. Pam is pretty and mostly famous – well, okay, Pam’s famous for more than just Playboy but most of it involves being either naked or scantily clad. There’s just something about Jayde that rubs me the wrong way. Perhaps it was falsely accusing Joe Francis (of Girl’s Gone Wild Fame) of punching her in the face. I hate women who lie about things like that. It makes it harder for women who are actually the victims of violence at the hands of men have a harder time proving it. Low.

Entourage star Emmanuelle Chirqui is simply stunning in this ‘Uncovering Sloan’ shoot. The girl can pull off any look. From classic Hollywood glamor to whole girl next door to sexy diva by the pool, this Canadian born beauty is flawless. She has a poise, grace and raw sex appeal few of her contemporaries can match and it could be argued, none of them could beat. While Entourage may not be as popular as it once once and it is nearing it’s 2011 conclusion, there is little doubt that Emmanuelle, who already had a pretty impressive resume before adding Entourage, will have no trouble finding work. Who wouldn’t want this gorgeous creature in their film? While many think she doesn’t have what it takes to be an A-list leading lady, I think we’re going to see big things to come in this woman’s career.
