People like to talk a lotta smack about Nicole Kidman but I think she’s fantastic. She’s a talented actress and a beautiful woman. I have never understood why people dislike her so very much. It just doesn’t make sense but I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes. There is always someone that becomes a popular target to hate on and I guess for people of a certain age, that person is Nicole. I just never bought into that. In these photos from Cannes, Nicole looks beautiful. Here’s something though. I had no idea she was pregnant. Congrats are in order for Nicole and her also gorgeous and talented husband, Keith Urban. I love these two as a couple. Thrilled to pieces for both of them!

Nicole Kidman and her husband, Keith Urban, attended the Grammy Awards at Staples Center on Sunday, February 8, 2009. The couple looked like a pair of love birds. Urban has been positively glowing since Kidman had his baby, Sunday Rose. Kidman wore a golden look from L’Wren Scott and accessorized it with a pair of Louboutin shoes for her pretty feet. Kidman was at the function to support Urban, who was nominated for “Best Country Collaboration With Vocals”. Urban’s duet with Trisha Yearwood, “Let The Wind Chase You”, was nominated.

Nicole Kidman was in Australia to film and promote hew new movie, simply titled as “Australia.” Kidman starred opposite Hugh Jackman. These pictures showed a beautiful Kidman in a bareback dress. The movie Australia will open later in November. Meanwhile, Kidman has been making a few appearances here and there to keep her profile high. Kidman has said she would expect to conceive another child with her husband Keith Urban. In doing so, she hinted at giving up acting to sit out her pregnancy.

Now here is the every so stylish and stunning Nicole Kidman attending the premiere of The Golden Compass in Australia. I have to say, not many people could pull off a figure hugging two piece satin ensemble. Satin is known to be not very kind to bumps and bulges, which for Nicole is a moot point because she doesn’t have any! She pulled off her standard elegance and class in this stunning number that is right in line with this season’s metallic trends. Gorgeous, gosh, how does she make it look so easy!

Nicole Kidman thought that the crowd was warm to her at the ARIA Awards in Sydney but actually they applauded her lingerie parade. Keith Urban was dwarfed by her heels and appeared unaware of his wife’s immodesty. When they realized her fashion faux pas, they giggled like teens caught snacking on goodies. Do you think it was staged?

I few short hours ago, I posted a little bit about my lack of understanding for the hate Nicole Kidman seems to get. Paris Hilton also gets a lot of hate but at least with her, I get what the hate is about. She seems incredibly full of herself, has no real discernible talent and  is the kind of spoiled little rich girl everyone loves to hate. I think that’s part of the reason I like her so much. She is who she is. She doesn’t try to hide the fact that she’s spoiled. While she does occasionally try to prove she has some sort of talent (she has a new album coming out, remember?) I don’t really hold that against her. If I had Paris’ fame and money, I’d probably put out an album too. The truth is, I know I should dislike the woman. She is everything I hate about today’s celebrity culture but I just don’t. I like Paris Hilton and I can’t even help it.
