As a female who occasionally enjoys wearing short skirts and dresses, I know it can sometimes be difficult to avoid flashing my undies at everyone in the room when I sit down while wearing said short skirts or dresses. Somehow, though, I manage to do it. Why? When my friend’s Dad had “the talk” with me (Mom was far too shy for such matters), he told me, “a real lady always crosses her legs”. Outdated? Sure, but it stuck with me. Every time I’m out and about I always sit with my legs crossed, preventing views like this one of model, television personality and former nurse Abi Titmuss at the Celebrity Salon Launch. I must say though, aside from the unfortunate upskirts, Abi looks lovely.

Beautiful Irish television host, Laura Whitmore was a vision at The BRIT Awards 2012, hitting the red carpet in a sexy but still classy brown dress that perfectly complimented her figure. Laura is mostly known for her appearances on MTV Europe but expect her star to rise even higher as she takes over as co-host of the “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here! Now!” I’m glad to see her getting more and more successful. I like these pictures because they show this woman knows how to dress appropriately for an event. She looks fantastic but she isn’t just flashing a lot of skin to be appealing. She isn’t trying to be the most talked about celebrity on the red carpet. That really appears to me.

Before she showed up to the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” wearing next to nothing, I had no idea who Lauren Pope was. It’s kind of funny how wearing something ridiculously inappropriate to a film premiere can put your name on the map. Anyway, I have to hand it to Lauren. She looks pretty good in these photos taken at the Cirque Du Soleil Totem premiere in London. What makes me love these pictures even more though, is the fact that Lauren seems to have figured out the secret to avoiding the dreaded crotch shot some of the sleazier paparazzi out there like to go for. I was starting to really believe it was impossible to wear a short skirt and get out of a car without flashing panties but Lauren seems to have managed to do that. Sure there are some upskirt shots in this set but for the most part, Lauren’s kept the important bits covered. Pretty classy, really. I may need to reevaluate my opinion on this woman.

Miley Cyrus is like a scandal magnet but I don’t think that’s entirely fair. She’s a young girl doing the things most young girls do. It just so happens she’s doing them in front of the whole world. I honestly couldn’t care less if she likes to smoke weed on occasion. I also like the fact that she mostly tries to keep it under wraps. A lot of people look up to her but what she does behind closed doors is really her business and hey, there are a lot worse things out there she could get sticking her nose in. I’ve been pretty hard on Miley but always about what she chooses to wear on stage or what she chooses to do or say in public. These pictures from Hawaii are some of the best pictures I’ve ever seen of Miley. She looks gorgeous and I’m certainly not going to get on her back for flashing a lot of skin at the beach. I’ve always liked candid shots of Miley far more than her publicity photos. It’s nice to see Miley just being Miley instead of trying to be the girl her publicity team wants her to be. I’m not her biggest fan – or even really a fan at all – but I am interested to see what she does with her career from here.

What can be said about Pixie Lott? This girl is just too freaking adorable for words. She really is. There’s nothing about this girl I don’t love. I don’t know how someone can make flashing their panties look like anything other than trashy but Pixie always manages to do it. Here performing at Earls Court in London, Pixie works the stage like the pro she is, putting on a great show for the audience and having a blast while she’s doing it. This is a girl that was born for the stage. There’s a song by The Decemberists called “I Was Meant for the Stage” and every time I listen to it (which is a lot because it’s an awesome song), I think of people like Pixie, people who step on the stage and look like they’re home. It’s a lovely thing to see.

I know Jessica Lowndes often gets overshadowed by “90210” costar AnnaLynne McCord but in all honesty, I find Jessica every bit as attractive as AnnaLynne, just in a different way. AnnaLynne is actually sort of typical when you look at Hollywood as a whole. She’s the blond sexpot – the bombshell. Jessica, on the other hand, is attractive in a far more unique way. She has an almost wholesome feel about her which is pretty impressive considering she’s flashing her panties as she’s filming “90210” in these pictures. She has a girl next door sort of vibe and I find that incredibly appealing. In this industry, blond bombshells are a dime a dozen, as gorgeous as AnnaLynne is, but girls like Jessica are a lot rarer. Side note – is rarer a word? It looks wrong to me. You get the point.
