Courtney Stodden grosses me out. So does her “husband”. So does her mother. I was not a good kid. I gave my mother so much trouble I’m surprise she just didn’t throw up her hands and leave me to fend for myself. She didn’t though. She kept trying and trying and trying. That’s what a mother does. A mother does whatever she can to help her child grow up to be happy and healthy. Courtney Stodden’s mother signed off on her then 16 year old daughter’s marriage to a man in his 50s and then stood by and said nothing as her daughter whored herself out to whatever camera was in front of her. The brunette in these pictures? That would be Courtney’s mother. It just all makes me feel sick. It should be fairly clear from these photos, snapped in Hollywood, that Courtney is using her body to get attention. That isn’t healthy. Someone please step in and help this poor misguided child before it’s too late.

If you saw my post about Carmen Electra a few hours ago, you know I’m feeling a little boiled and I’m not happy about that. It’s screwing with me. I’m fearing for my sanity – or at least for my eyesight. That continues right on over to this post because here is Nicky Hilton – my favorite Hilton, for the record – and I’m kind of feeling blah about the photos. Now, this might not be entirely due to the heat. I’ve always preferred Nicky Hilton professional photoshoots or candids over red carpet shots so it’s not exceptionally surprising that I’m not head over heels for these ones. It’s just a disturbing trend, I suppose. I’m sure the heat will break soon and I’ll be back to my normal self. Either that or Mother Nature will realize she’s been taking it way too easy on my neck of the woods lately and will keep up with this ridiculous heat for the next two months. Let’s hope for all of our sakes that’s not the case.

I love seeing celebrity mothers actually spending time with their children. We often think of celebrities as people who let others handle the raising of their children but Jessica Alba doesn’t seem to be one of those celebrities. In these photos, we see Jessica out in Beverly Hills with her daughter and it looks like Jessica’s having a pretty good day with her. Of course, I can’t write this post without mentioning how gorgeous Jessica looks. One of the things I love most about Jessica is the fact that I could see myself wearing nearly everything I see her wearing when she’s out and about. She just has such a down to earth sense of style and I really respect that. Sometimes we see celebrities that look red carpet ready every time they leave the house and that just feels so phony to me. Jessica doesn’t strike me as that kind of girl and I find that incredibly appealing.

I have never understood why Jada Pinkett Smith gets as much hate as she does. I think she’s a beautiful, talented woman that seems to really have herself together. She also seems like she’s a great mother to her children with husband, Will Smith, but for some reason, people still like to give her a hard time. I’m not one of those people. I don’t know what the deal is with Will and Jada’s marriage but it’s none of my business and it has no impact on how I feel about either of them. I think Will is great as well. In these photos of Jada in Hawaii, we get to see that incredible body of hers and I like that. Jada is a strong, confident woman and I respect her for that. There are a lot of bad role models out there for young woman and I definitely don’t feel Jada is one of them.

I’m not normally the kind of person that says someone is too curvy or someone is too thin but I worry about Nicole Richie. I always have. When she went through her super skinny period a few years back, I couldn’t help thinking there was something terribly wrong because, yes, there is such a thing as ‘too skinny’. She looked nearly skeletal back then and I was worried about her health. She sought treatment and seemed to be looking healthier and happier for a long time. She got past all the drama and hoopla of her drama days – the DUI arrests, the very brief stay in jail etc – and seemed so much smarter for it. When I look at these photos from the Fashion Awards in NYC, my mind travels back to those days. She doesn’t look unhealthy … yet. I just worry that things could be headed that way again. That’s me. Mother Hen to people I don’t even know. This is what happens when you spend way too much time writing about celebrities and not nearly enough time with your own friends and family members.

Jessica Alba is the kind of woman I could just sit and stare at all day. I don’t care what she’s wearing or what she’s doing. I just find her that captivating. There are a lot of things I love about Jessica. She’s outspoken. She seems intelligent. She can be funny. She seems like a great mother. I also love the fact that Jessica is a natural beauty, as we can see in these photos, snapped in Santa Monica. There she is, just going about her business in a casual dress and boots with no obvious makeup on her face, yet she still looks incredible. That can’t be said of some of the other actresses in the entertainment industry. Jessica is a nice change of pace. I appreciate that.
