I am generally not a country music fan but I love me some Carrie Underwood. I didn’t see her season of “American Idol” but I have to assume I would’ve been rooting for her in a big way. Not only is Carrie a mega-talent vocally but she’s also a mega-hottie. I wasn’t sure how I felt about these photos of Carrie performing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at first glance. The outfit is a little unusual but the more I looked at them, the more I liked them. Carrie is such a beautiful woman and this outfit, as out of the ordinary as it is, really shows off her finest points. And the black lace booties with the heels? Adorable!

Oh how I do love me some Mena Suvari. This woman is just so beautiful and so talented I can’t help but fall in love with her. It all started with “American Beauty” and my love has only grown as the years have passed. I was so excited to hear she would be one of the cast members returning for “American Horror Story: Asylum” and I can’t see what she brings to the show this time. She was perfect last season as The Black Dahlia and I have all the faith in the world that she’ll be just as good in her new role this season. I can’t wait for the second season to kick off. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when a successful show puts a period at the end of season one and started over with a whole new cast of characters and a whole new setting for season two. Of course, Mena looks amazing in these photos. Her body is absolutely incredibly and she is just as beautiful now as she was in “American Beauty”. Words can’t even begin to express how much I love her. Great to see her in the spotlight again.

Bar Refaeli may have gotten the bulk of her fame when she dated Leonardo DiCaprio but I don’t think that should take away from the work she’s done as a model. This is a woman that is successful in her own right and I think it’s important to point that out. Bar never seemed to be out to capitalize on her relationship with him. She attended events with him but she seemed to back off and let him have his moment – something I always admired about her. Many of the other women who become well known because of who they’re dating take every opportunity they’re given to show off their relationship and Bar never gave me that impression. Since breaking up with Leo, Bar has remained successful and I think that will continue. In these photos from Mykonos, Greece, it’s pretty obvious Leo is little more than a distant memory in her mind. She has definitely moved on and good for her. I think Bar is a classy, beautiful woman and I see nothing but success in her future.

So here is Olivia Munn looking like Olivia Munn usually looks – kind of hot but kind of not at the same time. I think she’s pretty enough but I really don’t understand why men are so crazy about her. Perhaps it’s her “I’m a geek too!” persona. She does have a fantastic body, which she’s showing off in her body hugging dress in these photos from the 2012 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, but I honestly don’t find her face all that attractive. I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I do like her personality on occasion but even that can be a bit irritating in large doses. I guess I’m just not really sure how I feel about her overall. I’m sure it doesn’t matter to her in the least though. She seems like a very confident, self-assured young woman which is one of the things I do find incredibly appealing about her. It’s just the rest of the package I’m not so sure about.

Honestly though, does anyone actually think Charlize Theron is anything other than stunning? She’s easily one of my favorite actresses working in the industry right now but her looks have nothing to do with that. Well, they have almost nothing to do with that. She’s an incredibly talented actress and she isn’t afraid to hide her beauty if the role calls for it. She’s fearless and she really showed that off – and a lot more – at the “Snow White And The Huntsman” world premiere by rocking a nearly completely sheer dress. If you’ve read some of my other posts about red carpet fashion, you know I’m not typically a fan of dresses that leave so little to the imagination but there are two exceptions to that rule for me. I am okay with daring fashion at awards shows if the person attending is nominated, presenting or performing. I am also okay with daring fashion at premieres if the person is actually involved with the movie. Charlize falls into the latter category in this case so I’ll give her a pass. With that said, although she looks gorgeous, I’m not a big fan of the dress. What do I know, though? I regularly leave the house wearing my pajamas.

Model Anja Rubik definitely knows how to make sure she’s the center of attention. Just check out these photos of her from the Costume Institute Gala Met Ball in New York. She looks stunning, of course, but that dress is just begging for a wardrobe malfunction. With this one, she’s really taken the whole “Jolieing” thing to a whole new level and I dunno, it works. Normally I’d say she should’ve chosen something a little less revealing but this is the Met Ball. It’s all about standing out, showing off and stealing headlines. There is a time and a place for everything. Despite the revealing nature of the dress, Anja still, somehow, looks classy. I guess I give it a thumbs up.
