Once again, Jennifer Nicole Lee has opted to show off the results of all her hard work by wearing next to nothing for a little time in the sun on South Beach. I can’t get mad at her for that. This is a woman who wasn’t happy with the way she looked and made a concentrated effort to change, working hard to get herself in killer shape. I have to give her serious credit for that. I sometimes don’t like how she chooses to show off her body (wearing as little as possible to head out for groceries, for example) but all is fair at the beach. These photos are great. I love absolutely everything about them, even if the bikini bottoms do look astronomically uncomfortable.

Earlier, I spoke about what a great day this was shaping up to be thanks to bikini shots of Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton but alluded to some possible low points. I was referring, of course, to seeing Heidi Montag’s name on my assignment list. Imagine my surprise when I opened the post, saw the pictures and realized the photos I was going to be writing about were really the only pictures of Heidi Montag I’ve ever actually liked – photos from Heidi Montag’s Playboy pictorial. One thing always bugs me about these photos though. That is, of course, the fact that she decided not to bother actually getting naked. She cited her religious beliefs for her reasoning behind keeping the fun bits covered but I have to call shenanigans on that. When a woman poses for Playboy, one assumes the woman will be getting naked. When they buy the magazine, they expect to get what they paid for. Don’t want to get naked? Fine. Pose for Maxim. Regardless, I think the photos are gorgeous and Heidi looks incredible in them. I just think they would’ve been better suited for another publication.

Ya know, Kate Walsh gets a lot of flack for apparently “letting herself go” but I really don’t see it. I still think she looks fantastic. I think she has a great body and while she looks older, I don’t see that as a bad thing. I’ve always thought Kate was stunning so perhaps I’m biased. Regardless, she looks like she’s having a great time in these photos and that really appeals to me. I love a woman that knows how to relax and have a good time. I always find myself imagining how much fun it would be hang out with them for a little while and Kate, to me, is a great example of that. I can see myself hanging out on the beach sipping a drink with Kate although I promise you I’d be wearing a t-shirt over my bikini. Kate looks way, way better in a bikini than I do and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

I love Padma Lakshmi. I think she’s absolutely stunning and man, does that lady every look killer in a bikini. These photos of Padma in Miami are among my favorite bikini shots, first because they’re shots of Padma and second because she looks like she’s having the time of her life in them. I love her smile. It’s just so sincere and from the heart. This isn’t a woman pretending to have a good time. This is a woman who is genuinely having a good time. I don’t think it would be possible for me to love these photos any more than I already do. I don’t get to write about Padma a lot on here. I hope that is starting to change.

I am a big fan of model/reality television star Claudia Galanti. I think she’s absolutely beautiful. I don’t often get all that excited about celebrities who got most of their attention for reality television shows but Claudia is an exception for me. For that reasons, I love these photos from Miami. She looks fantastic in her bikini and she looks like she’s having a pretty good time enjoying the beach. Yes, there is a partial nip slip and that’s supposed to get me all excited but eh, it’s a nipple. That just doesn’t seem like a huge deal to me. It happens to the best of us.

I love Dayana Mendoza and am always thrilled to have the chance to write about her. There are lots of gorgeous models out there who have no qualms about posing in swimwear or lingerie but there’s something special about Dayana, to me at least. I like the fact that she seems so comfortable in front of the camera. Sometimes she does come off as a little posed but it’s never distracting or over the top. She’s just a beautiful woman that knows how to work it for the camera and I appreciate that. These photos are great. While I wouldn’t mind seeing Dayana in an itty bitty bikini, it’s nice to see models rocking more conservative suits every now and again. It’s a refreshing change.
