I remember back when Liv Tyler was just the smoking hot babe in the Aerosmith videos. I was a kid back then. I didn’t know Liv was Steven Tyler’s daughter. I didn’t know she was an actress. I just knew she looked absolutely stunning in those videos. As time has passed, I’ve come to appreciate Liv as an actress and as a celebrity. She has the sort of low key approach to fame I find appealing. She doesn’t really get mixed up in a whole lot of drama and I find that refreshing. Here in Paris, Liv shows off probably my favorite thing about her – her style. She’s so unique. She always looks so comfortable but still so stylish. If I could raid on star’s closet, Liv would be pretty close to the top of my wishlist.

I’ve always liked Hayden Panettiere but to be honest, she’s fallen off my radar a little bit as of late. I’m not sure why that is exactly. Hayden is a beautiful and talented young actress that has never seemed desperate to hold onto her fame like many other actresses her age. Here in Hawaii, Hayden shows off a little of that easy going attitude, taking a little time to herself to enjoy a little basketball and a little tennis. Sure she happens to be wearing a bikini while she does it but she looks comfortable, happy and like she’s genuinely having fun. I love these pictures.

I have a pair of tights/stretch pants (whatever they’re called) just like the ones Imogen Thomas is wearing in these pictures snapped in London and I have to admit I’d never be brave enough to pair them with a belly baring top. Imogen is definitely far more comfortable in her own skin than I am and I definitely respect that. I also happen to think she looks gorgeous, as usual. I don’t know that I love the decision to pair the tights with the belly shirt as much as I admire the guts it took to do it but I’m sure Imogen is happy with the look so I suppose that’s all that matters.

Normally I’m a sucker for a redhead but I just can’t convince myself to like Phoebe Price. There’s just something about this woman that has always rubbed me the wrong way. She just doesn’t strike me as the hard working actress sort. She strikes me as the “here, let me take my clothes off so you’ll hire me” sort. Don’t jump on me for that. It’s just the impression I get and I could easily be wrong. If I am, I’ll gladly apologize to Phoebe and never say another bad word about her. Here’s how I get that impression of her – I know her name and I know her face but only because I’ve seen her show up to various movie premieres wearing next to nothing, stealing the spotlight away from the people who actually had something to do with making the movie. That has just always seemed so classless and tasteless to me. Find your own spotlight instead of using your body to steal someone else’s.

See now, this is why I have a hard time not getting all judgey with Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison. I want to believe that they’re really in love and they’re super happy and that they just couldn’t wait until she turned 18 to be together. True love waits for no man, right? It’s possible. But then I see pictures like these ones of a hyper-sexualized 17 year old girl who happens to be married to a 51 year old man and I get the creeps. I can’t help it. She’s cute, yes. She’s gorgeous, in fact. She’s also seriously making my Mom instincts come bubbling to the surface and those instincts are buried pretty deep, let me tell you. I just want to tell her there is another way – that she doesn’t have to parade around for her creepy old man hubby to make a name for herself. Of course, it is her choice and if Courtney’s own mother is okay with it, there must be something I’m not seeing. I hope.

I often say I prefer the more casual, candid pics of Miley Cyrus to her more glammed up shots but these pictures taken outside Miley’s Pilates class in Hollywood are a nice compromise. She looks a little more dressed up than she has looked in other Pilates class pictures we’ve seen but to be honest, I can’t imagine this is what she’ll actually be wearing in class. I know some people have been giving Miley a hard time for hitting the street looking a little less than put together. I hope that’s not why she chose to dress it up a little here. I guess in the end it doesn’t matter. She still looks comfortable and happy. I have no problem with that.
