Now, before I even start I have to make something very clear. I love Katharine McPhee. I watched her season of “American Idol” and was really rooting for her. I bought her album when it was released and while I was a little disappointed with some of the songs, I thought it was mostly fairly solid. When I heard she was cast on “Smash” I knew I’d be tuning in. I was a little disappointed with “Smash” as well but I’ll be tuning in again next season just so I can see her. With that out of the way, I have to be honest which means I have to admit I’m not loving this photo shoot. It just feels a little flat and almost boring. She looks great, of course but there’s no personality. Not my favorite Katharine McPhee photo shoot but I still love the girl.

Sheryl Crow isn’t always recognized for her physical attributes but I think she should be. I don’t think she necessarily fits into the traditional definition of beauty but I also think the traditional definition of beauty is changing. In this older photoshoot (it looks to me like it may have been from the “Globe Sessions” days but I might be wrong), Sheryl looks incredible. To be fair though, I’ve always found her beautiful so maybe I’m biased. I think a big part of Sheryl’s appeal, to me at least, is her talent and her honesty with her music. Some of her songs (“I Shall Believe”, “Home”, “Always On Your Side” and “God Bless This Mess”, come to mind) feel like personal confessions, like she’s opening up to the listener and telling them something personal about her life. So yes, back to the point. I’m probably a little bit biased here because of how I feel about Sheryl but I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in these photos.

Heez, maybe the world really is ending because here we have a set of photos of Kesha that she doesn’t look terrible in. Who would’ve guessed? I know there are people out there who think Kesha is a stunning woman who gets more and more gorgeous all the time, but I don’t happen to be one of them. She bugs me. I don’t think she’s all that attractive but more than that, her recent lyrics scandal has made me think she’s also spineless. After a tragedy like the one at Newton, Connecticut, songs that once barely raised eyebrows suddenly seem offensive or at least insensitive. Such is the case with Kesha’s “Die Young” which was pulled from radio stations across the US following the elementary school shooting tragedy. The song features the lyrics “Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young/We’re gonna die young/We’re gonna die young” which probably wasn’t considered insensitive at all until twenty children were murdered in their classrooms. Even so, in light of the tragedy, they came across that way and it was decided it was best to pull the single from radio stations for a while. Other artists had their singles pulled as well. None of those artists responded the way Kesha did. She took to Twitter and said she was “forced” to sing the lyrics, odd considering only a short time earlier, she said she was proud of writing her own lyrics and said she would never sing something she didn’t believe in. She’s since backtracked, saying her Tweets were the result of feeling emotional about the tragedy. I don’t believe her. I think she was faced with a tough situation and decided to be a coward, trying to pin the blame on someone else. Here’s the deal though. If that shooting hadn’t happened, no one would’ve batted an eyelash at those lyrics. It would’ve been better for Kesha to choose not to comment or to try to understand where radio stations were coming from. After something like Newton happens, there is a lot of shock, anger and sadness. Try to understand that and handle the situation with grace instead of coming off like an insensitive, whiny brat. Anyway, that’s my rant for the day.

There was a lot of great music out there this past year and perhaps one of my favorite singles belonged to the beautiful lady in these photos. “Lights” by Ellie Goulding may not have been my absolute favorite song of the year but it’s at least in the top ten. In these photos we see Ellie Goulding performing at the Manchester Academy and I think she looks fantastic. I’ve always thought Ellie was gorgeous, mainly because she doesn’t look like every other pop star out there. She has her own thing going on and I think that’s great. I think that’s a big part of what I like about her music as well. She doesn’t sound like everyone else there. I think she’s going to be sticking around for a while.

Before I even start, I’d like to point out that I did not come up with this idea. I am not responsible for pulling out the best photos featuring Taylor Swift’s ass and putting them together in the Taylor Swift ass collection. I don’t know who is responsible, actually. Regardless of who gets the credit for this fant-ASS-tic idea, I quite like the results. Of course Taylor is a beautiful, talented young lady who knows how to write a mean pop country song and she deserves credit for that. She also deserves credit for being in shape. I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m of the opinion that Taylor is one of the most attractive women in the entertainment industry today. She also seems to be pretty down to earth. All in all, this is a great collection. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea.

Man, I have to tell you, Ciara is just absolutely stacked. That body is just ridiculous. I have to admit the leg muscles kind of freak me out a little bit but the girl looks good regardless. Here at the “Got Me Good” video debut party in New York, Ciara has chosen the perfect dress for her body. It flatters her in ever way. To be honest though, I’m not sure there’s anything she wouldn’t look fantastic in. I haven’t seen the video as of yet but I’m not sure I need to. My guess? It features Ciara looking smoking hot and showing off her body to a song that would probably get stuck in my head for a month. No complaints here. I love this woman.
