Katy Perry made a new music video for her song,”Hot and Cold.” Katy wore a beautiful wedding gown for this video. Her previous “I Kissed A Girl” was a great hit. During one concert, Katy leapt off the stage and kissed a girl. That incident made headlines especially when the young woman made some publicity about how she felt being kissed by Katy Perry. The fan was openly gay so she generated some interest as people began to wonder if Katy Perry was really a lesbian.
I have a lot of girl crushes. I have a lot of big time girl crushes. There’s Carmen Electra – one of my first girl crushes – and Sandra Bullock. There’s Katy Perry and Rihanna. There’s Fairuza Balk. There’s Kate Beckinsale. I have a lot of girl crushes for a straight chick. I get that. None of those crushes, however, outshines my girl crush on Rose McGowan. I’d consider switching teams for a lot of the women I just mentioned but there would be no consideration involved with Rose. I adore her. She’s stunning. I don’t care how much work she’s had done. I don’t even really care what she looks like. My crush on Rose is all about her attitude. She’s just a confident, tough, independent, outspoken woman and I am so incredibly attracted to all of those qualities. These photos, shot in Paris, show the glammed up Rose I so love seeing. I love this woman. Marry me, Rose! That’s perfectly legal here. Of course, I’m already married but I’m sure something could be arranged.
I wrote about Tina O’Brien just a short time ago and in that post, I mentioned the fact that I’m not great at keeping up with the actors and actresses on Coronation Street. It appears I’ve missed the boat on this one. I was familiar with Georgia May (or Georgia May Foote, if you prefer) before she was promoted to a series regular on the staple British show but mainly for her role as Alison Simmons on Grange Hill. I’m not sure how I didn’t make the connection that Katy Armstrong and Alison Simmons were played by the same actress, but I suppose that’s the way it goes sometimes. Looking at these photos, it’s hard to imagine I managed to forget about this young lady. She’s absolutely stunning and these photos are absolutely fantastic.
I love Nicole Scherzinger but as I’ve said in the past, she does seem to have a problem connecting with the public. After a few helpful comments from HQ readers, I’ve decided that is because she is a little lacking in the personality department. Katy Perry, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga etc all have personality for days while Nicole falls a little flat sometimes. Now, she looks great in these photos from her performance at GQ China’s Men of the Year event in Beijing but that first picture kind of leaves me scratching my head. Is it just my imagination or does it really look like she’s attempting to pass gas into the microphone? The positioning of the microphone? The leg in the air? The expression on her face? We want more personality, Nicole, but that may be taking it a bit too far.
I don’t often get the chance to write about the musicians I love on this blog. Sure I love Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna and get to post about them on a fairly regular basis but my love for them pales in comparison to my love for Rita Ora. I love everything about Rita. I love her voice, I love her attitude and I love her look. She has this old school glam meets modern rocker look that I find so unusual and so appealing. Here at her performance in a Park in Scotland, Rita showcases everything I love most about her and even offers up an upskirt shot or two for those of you who are into that sort of thing. I love this woman and I hope I get to write about her more often.
Hey look, everyone! Miley Cyrus wearing barely anything on the American Music Awards red carpet in LA. That’s totally new and shocking! We’ve never seen her half naked before. Seriously, Miley Cyrus? This is how you show us you’re all grown up? I have a better idea. Put out a movie that doesn’t target an audience of 12-16 year old girls. How about maybe making some music that isn’t mindless pop junk. Being a slut and flashing your body doesn’t make you grown up or mature. I mean, a lot of people can use a lot of words to describe Katy Perry – also known for flashing her body – but mature probably wouldn’t be on that list. And really, who wants another Katy Perry? We already have one. I wouldn’t mind seeing the real Miley Cyrus for once. Wouldn’t that be fun?
