Here’s the thing about me and “Jersey Shore”. I was among the many, many “Jersey Shore” haters before I’d actually watched the show. I think that’s pretty typical honestly. This show gets so much bad press it’s hard to be objective. The exploits of the cast are pretty common knowledge whether you’ve even turned in to a single episode. I doubt I ever would’ve bothered giving the show a chance had I not been asked to write season three episode recaps for another website I write for. I like to be as informed as possible so I checked out the first two seasons before diving into three. To my surprise, I kind of enjoyed the show. It was definitely a guilty pleasure but I found that I was interested in what these crazy kids got up to. There was one real strong point for me – Jennifer “Jwoww” Farley. This is one strong, confident babe. She doesn’t take crap and I respect that. Is she a shining example of morality? No, of course not, but she’s on “Jersey Shore”. No one expects that of her. By the time season four rolled around, I was kind of excited but every guilty pleasure has it’s breaking point and that point came surprisingly early in season four for me. All of the ridiculous drama got old. I got tired of listening to all the fighting. Sammi and Ronnie, Snooki and her man, The Situation and, well, everyone. Nope. Done. Still, we had a good run and my affection for Jwoww lives on.

Sandra Bullock is the kind of woman the new generation of Hollywood starlets should really be looking to for inspiration if they want long and successful careers. While Sandra’s really made her name in romantic comedies, let’s not forget the lady has an Academy Award for her brilliant performance in “The Blind Side”. More than that though, Sandy is the epitome of grace and class. She got through one of the most explosive cheating scandals in recent Hollywood history virtually unscathed. Why? Not just because her ex is a d-bag of the highest order but because she had the good sense to stay out of the spotlight and only address the scandal briefly and after an appropriate amount of time. She is also a woman completely capable at laughing at herself. I’ll admit, some of her career choices have baffled me. Anyone remember “All About Steve”. When the film was awarded multiple Razzies, the film industry’s highest dishonor, Sandra not only showed up to accept her award for “Worst Actress”, she showed up with a wheelbarrow full of “Steve” DVDs. It’s that kind of thing that shows this isn’t a girl that takes herself too seriously, despite being a huge name in Hollywood. I missed her appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in Burbank but I’m going to go ahead and assume Sandy was as funny and charming as she was beautiful. This lady was my very first girl crush. Perhaps it shows a little.

I’ve never really been a big fan of Girls Aloud but I’ve always been a big fan of Sarah Harding. I’m not sure how that’s possible but there it is. I love this girl. She’s got a fantastic smile and a lovely body. The former is a bigger selling point for me than the latter though. I love a girl with a killer smile. Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that my own smile leaves a lot to be desired. Psychology aside, there’s just something about Sarah that gets to me. Here in London, Sarah takes a pretty basic look – jeans and a jacket – and makes it work for her. As I’ve made clear in past posts, I don’t like big sunglasses and that’s no exception here but that’s really just a personal pet peeve. Sarah looks gorgeous, relaxed and casual. I think these could be among my favorite pictures of this stunner.

I can remember a time, not too long ago actually, that I had no idea who Rosie Hungington was. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Rosie only really hit the mainstream when she was cast as Megan Fox’s replacement in the most recent “Transformers” movie but that isn’t to say she didn’t have a fan base before that whole thing. It isn’t hard to see how she garnered that fan base. The woman is gorgeous. There’s something unique about her that I find incredibly appealing beyond the smoking hot body but to be honest, I can’t quite put my finger on what that is. Perhaps it’s the sort of old school Hollywood glamour she’s got going on in some of these shots. I really enjoy that. Regardless, I’m positive we haven’t seen the last of Rosie and I’m pretty happy about that.

Gorgeous model and reality television star, Aida Yespica hit the beaches of Miami with her son Aron recently and the pictures of the outing are among my favorite celebrity bikini pics I’ve seen in quite some time. Aida is absolutely beautiful. There’s little room for debate there but what really appeals to me about these pictures is the way she seems to be enjoying her time with her son. She lets him do his own thing but always keeps a watchful eye on him. I have never been a big fan of stars who achieve fame through reality television shows but Aida is a bit of a different story. She’d already accomplished some pretty major things in her career before she shot to fame on the Italian version of “Celebrity Survivor”, winning the Miss Venezuela title in 2002 among the biggest.

I’ve been pretty honest about my less than affectionate attitude toward reality stars but there’s something about Whitney Port I’m really beginning to appreciate. Perhaps I like Whitney because she doesn’t seem desperate to extend her fifteen minutes of fame. She isn’t the hot commodity she once was but she seems to be okay with that. You don’t see her out staging awkward photo ops or getting involved in trashy scandals to keep her name in the headlines. More than that, Whitney is perfectly fine leaving the house in comfortable clothes like the outfit she’s wearing in these photos as she treats herself to a pedicure in Los Angeles. I might not respect her claim to fame but I definitely respect what she’s done with it.
