The other day I wrote a post about Ashley Tisdale having the potential to be successful if she plays her cards right and immediately after that post went up, a friend e-mailed me to ask me why I thought Vanessa Hudgen’s career was going to crash and burn. I will address that issue now. I don’t think Vanessa is going to do poorly. She’s a beautiful young woman who really can act and has done some decent work in her time. She’s also got name recognition although that could hurt her depending on your perspective. I just happen to think Ashley has made more progress toward getting out of the High School Musical shadow. I’m so happy that I finally came around on Vanessa Hudgens. I used to give her such a hard time but that’s really changed over the last little while. My biggest problem with her was the “stolen” nude photos of her that seemed to pop up on an alarmingly regular basis but that had less to do with photos themselves and more to do with the fact that I wasn’t convinced they were actually stolen. My opinion of her really started to change when I realized that, yes, they were stolen and the poor girl seemed powerless to stop it. We can all “tsk tsk” her for taking naked photos of herself at such a tender age but I’m not going to lie. I did it. I’m sure I’m not the only one either. Vanessa handled the scandal admirably and has come a long way since then. In these photos, snapped as Vanessa went out in Studio City, Vanessa looks adorable. I love the hat and I love the outfit. Lovely girl. I hope the future holds big things for her.

Okay, I’m going to be honest. I haven’t really been keeping up with the No Doubt reunion as much as I intended to so I’m not sure if she’s been doing this a lot but seeing Gwen Stefani without bold red lipstick is kind of weird to me. I just assumed that was sort of her trademark thing and I have to be honest. I think she’s look better with it. Gwen knows how to wear that bold red lip look perfectly and I’m kind of missing that signature in these photos from North London. She still looks fantastic, of course. It’s Gwen Stefani. I’m not sure she’s ever taken a bad picture but I don’t know. I just feel like there’s something missing because she’s gone with the nude lip look and I find that distracting. Not my favorite pictures of this beautiful lady but she still looks awesome and she’s still one of my favorites.

I have never – not in my entire life – heard of hair Vajazzles so I looked them up. Apparently, hair Vajazzles are little gem designs you can put in your hair using a few seconds of heat. They then last for up to seven days. I’m sorry. I guess I’m missing something here because I can not for the life of me understand why someone would want sparkly gems in their hair for seven days. I guess it’s the new thing. I’m not good with trends. Anyway, so Amy Childs apparently put these things on the map and decided to put out her own line of hair Vajazzles. This is where these pictures come in. This is Amy ripping off Britney Spear’s nude body suit at the launch of Amy Childs’ Hair Vajazzles in London. I fail to see how this outfit sells hair products because I know I’m not really looking at her head in these photos.

I wasn’t really an Ashley Tisdale fan for a long time but she’s really been growing on me over the last few months. She looks beautiful here at the Journey 2 Mysterious Island premiere in LA, wearing a flattering, sexy dress that looks amazing on her. She’s grown so much since she first hit the Hollywood scene but instead of showing that growth by sporting the same kind of trashy attire some of her contemporaries wear, Ashley wears more mature styles that are still youthful and fun. I love this color on her. I’m not crazy over pairing the dress with the shoes but i can understand why she chose them. Nude or light colored shoes make the legs look longer although judging for these pictures, she didn’t need the help.
