Wow, it’s been a little while since I’ve seen Katie Holmes out and about in a while. I’ve gotta admit, it’s really nice to see her again, especially in a white t-shirt without a bra. I guess this is just how Katie does it now. Can’t complain about that. She looks adorable in these photos, snapped in NYC. I’ve always been a Katie Holmes fan. I’ve loved her since her days on Dawson’s Creek and have loved pretty much everything she’s done since then. I wasn’t entirely sure what was going on with her weird relationship with Tom Cruise but I didn’t really let it have an impact on my opinion on Katie herself. She’s talented, beautiful and really has a laid back vibe going on. It’s nice to see her looking more like the girl I fell in love with again as well. For a long time, she seemed so done up every time we saw her. It’s nice to see her getting back to her roots.

Okay, I’m not positive these shots are from dance class but that’s the impression I get so I’m going with it. Anyway, that’s not what we’re here to talk about. We’re here to talk about Katie Holmes. Here’s what I think. People are way to hard on this girl. She’s beautiful. She’s talented. She seems like a nice enough person. She’s married to Tom Cruise. It seems to be that last one that trips people up. I don’t get why. Sure Tom went a little nuts but he seems to have gotten himself together again and really, what does Tom’s mental state have to do with Katie? I worry about Katie but not because of who she’s married to per say but because of what who she’s married to is doing to her career. She’s been one of my favorite actresses since her days on “Dawson’s Creek” but it seems to me that she has to struggle these days to be taken seriously and that’s just not fair. I hope that changes someday. She’s too talented to live in Tom’s shadow forever.

Can we all get over that whole jumping on the couch thing now? Tom Cruise may have been momentarily insane, but he seems to have pulled himself together. I love these pictures. Katie Holmes is gorgeous, but I’ve always thought that. I liked her body a little more when she had a little meat on her bones, but I’m not ready to say she’s scary skinny just yet. She also just seems like a normal Mom celebrating her husband’s birthday with her daughter by spending a little time at a pool in Miami. I love that Tom and Suri got their faces painted although it would’ve been pretty cute to see Katie participate in that part of the festivities as well. All the same, these pictures make me feel all warm inside. I love these guys.

People love to rag on Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise for spoiling Suri, but I really don’t think that’s fair. If I had the money those two have (and a kid) I would spoil the hell out of my kids. I’d try to teach them the value of money but come on, does anyone really think Suri Cruise is every going to have to worry about money. If she comes upon hard times, she can just write a tell all book. I would buy the heck out of that book! Here in Miami, Katie makes a pretty good case for Suri’s normalcy because come on – they look like any other mother and daughter spending a day at the beach. There’s nothing ‘Hollywood’ about these pictures aside from Katie is a bit more attractive than most of the mothers I know.

Natasha Henstridge looked beautiful at the Boost Mobile Barbecue. She wore a tube top and skirt assemble but changed into her halter top bikini for the pool activities. Henstridge was quite popular inside the pool. She made a new friend.
