The amfAR soiree’ in Cannes was actually a fundraiser. Madonna and Sharon Stone were among the older set of celebrities who graced the event. Versace did the interior decor of the party venue. The grand ballroom housed a total of 750 VIPs and celebrities. Madonna was wearing a shiny red dress. This was one of her very rare occasions when she wore something so high necked. Her dress had a silk bow tie/scarf which concealed any wrinkles at the neck.
Christina Milian was at the 56th Annual BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills. This function was held on Tuesday night, on May 20, 2008. Christina wore a nice blue dress. She showed off her sexy legs and pretty feet in her strappy heels. This was a special night for the band members called Hall & Oats because they received the BMI Icons award. They were praised for influencing a new generation of music makers.
Is it just me or is Denise Richards a.k.a. former Charlie Sheen’s wife looking like a wax figure in these photos? The canines and boys were hot for her as they posed for photos. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, America’s favorite dog snack company would be building the world’s largest dog house in Times Square, New York. Other activities in store included a dancing dogs show, paw readings and celebrity appearances.
It’s great to see “Sex and the City” actress Kristin Davis back in the limelight. Great to see her busy doing the rounds of latenight television shows and all. Here she is doing the “Late Show with David Letterman” in New York City and of course, prior to her guesting, she did the autograph tasks, posing for the paps and fans bit. Truth be told, it’s good to see Kristin being all goody-goody with the fans. After all, she’s been rumored to having had a tumultuous, addiction-filled past. Gwyneth Paltrow was at the photo call for “Two Lovers” alone because her co-star, Joaquin Phoenix, was ill with stomach problems. He told somebody that he was extremely disappointed to have missed the premiere of his own movie. The plot on “Two Lovers” was about a bachelor who faced a serious dilemma. His family desired him to marry a family friend while he had set his heart on the girl next door.
