Rumor has it Nigel Lithgow isn’t convinced Jennifer Lopez is really done with “American Idol”. He’s the executive producer so you’d think he’d know. He is hoping she’ll decide to return and share the judge’s panel with newly appointed judge, Mariah Carey. Hmmm … I’m not sure he’s thought that one through. I can’t see the purpose of having two pop-divas on the panel. I can’t even imagine how they’d get along. I suppose it doesn’t really matter because I’m pretty convinced Jennifer’s leaving even if Nigel isn’t. It’s a shame too. Just look at these performance pics of Jennifer Lopez in New Jersey. The woman really knows how to put on a show. She might not be the most talented singer but she commands the stage and I think that counts for a lot in pop music. Plus she’s hot. Super hot. I guess we’ll see how it all plays out in the next few weeks.

So “American Idol” producers have foolishly ignored my suggestion to bring Avril Lavigne on as a judge for the show’s next season. They chose Mariah Carey instead. I’m going to go ahead and call that a massive mistake. Mariah is a nutcase – a talented nutcase, but a nutcase none the less. Crew members have said she was a nightmare to work with during her stint as a guest mentor a few seasons back. The same crew members have said Jennifer Lopez was a delight. I’m not sure what they would say about Avril, but I guess we’ll never know. None of that matters though. What matters is the fact that Avril Lavigne is on vacation in Mexico which means we can expect at least another set – maybe more – of gorgeous Avril Lavigne bikini pictures similar to this one. I can’t complain about that. I think Avril is gorgeous. More than that, she’s unique. She does things her own way – her hair for example – and I think that’s just fantastic. I think she would’ve been a great judge but hey, can’t win ’em all, I suppose.

I don’t care – not even a little bit – what anyone has to say. Lily Allen is the epitome of awesome. She’s gutsy, outspoken and absolutely, always, 100% herself. She doesn’t try to be someone people might find easier to relate to just because it could help her sell more records. In addition, I think “It’s Not Me, It’s You” is one of the best pop albums released in the last ten years. “The Fear” was my absolutely favorite song for several months when it was released. It was even my ringtone when I still have a cell phone. There isn’t a thing I don’t love about this woman and that sass and attitude I love so much is obvious in these photos. Lily is awesome. I couldn’t be happier she’s decided to return to music. I can’t wait to hear what her new music sounds like.

It feels like it’s been ages since we’ve gotten new AnnaLynne McCord bikini pics. Maybe it hasn’t actually been all that long but it still feels that way. I’ve missed pictures like these. I really have. The first thing I noticed when I looked at these photos is how much healthier AnnaLynne looks. She was verging on too thin there for a while but she looks like she doesn’t look quite as thin anymore. She looks toned and fit. It looks like she’s been spending some time in a gym not like she’s been eating nothing but a celery stick for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Above all that though, the one thing that stands out about these pictures of AnnaLynne in LA is her smile. This woman has such an incredible smile. While her show, “90210”, isn’t quite as hot as it once was, AnnaLynne doesn’t seem to be letting that get her down and why would she? I’m sure she’ll have a career long after “90210” is off the air.

Okay, I admit it. Brooke Burke isn’t quite as attractive without makeup as she is with it. Now that I’ve said it, I’d also like to point out very few woman in Hollywood are as attractive without makeup. I think that goes with a lot of women who aren’t in the spotlight as well. I definitely know that’s the case with me. With that said, I don’t think Brooke Burke looks all that bad without makeup and I love the fact that she’s confident enough to hit the beach barefaced even though she knows she’s going to be photographed. Shown here with husband,David Charvet in Miami, Brooke doesn’t seem to care less about who sees her without a stitch of makeup. She’s just relaxing and having a good time. I think Brooke’s a class act all the way and I’m thrilled to see her showing the world that’s she’s comfortable with who she is.

They said these two crazy kids wouldn’t make it but LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are out to prove the last two people that still care wrong. I dunno. I used to be offended in some completely unjustified way by LeAnn and Eddie’s relationship but I’ve really let go of that. I feel for the kids involved and I feel for Eddie and LeAnn’s respective former spouses but I’m sure they’ve moved on. Maybe it’s time I do too. It’s not really that I don’t think Eddie and LeAnn are awful for cheating on their respective spouses with each other instead of ending their marriages and hooking up once they were both single. It’s more that I just don’t really care anymore. It’s kind of old news. I wish them all the best, I guess. Anyway, what’s next?
