The world really met Lucy Mecklenburgh when she appeared on “The Only Way is Essex” season 4. I had actually never heard of this particular reality show until I started writing for this blog and cast members started appearing on my assignments list. Because I like to know what I’m writing about, I checked out a few episodes of the show and I guess it’s just not my cup of tea. For that reason, I’ve never actually seen Lucy on the show so I don’t really know how I feel about her. I can only judge her on these photos and based on these photos, I have to say I quite like her. As she poses here to launch her swimwear line, she looks confident and self-assured, qualities I respect in a woman. I’m not sure I’d run out and buy any suits from her line, but at least she looks good in them. That has to count for something.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Aussies? Yes? Well let me mention it again anyway. I have a serious soft spot for all things Australian. It’s just a thing with me, I suppose. With that said, I don’t just love Sharni Vinson because she’s Australian. I love her because she’s gorgeous but not in the typical sense. She has a fantastic body of course but there’s something unique and different about her. All of that is on display here in these photos from Miami. On top of being beautiful, Sharni is also a very talented lady. I loved her on “Home and Away” and she was one of the only things I liked about “Step Up 3D”. I hope things continue going well for this woman and I hope I get to write about her again soon.

Sometimes I see these Hollywood mothers and wonder how on earth they managed to get their pre-baby bodies back so fast. That is exactly what I think when I look at these bikini photos of Jessica Alba. This woman has two children. I can’t imagine how that’s happened. I guess things are a little different when a woman has a personal trainer and probably a personal chef helping out the weight loss process but still. She looks amazing. I guess that’s all that matters. I really like Jessica. She’s one of those celebrities who speaks her mind and answers questions honestly. While I often don’t agree with the things she has to say, I respect the guts it takes to say them, especially in an industry where honesty is very rarely rewarded.

There are a few things I love about these photos of Hayden Panettiere at the 2012 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles. First, I love everything about Hayden’s look. It’s simple, glamorous and flattering in every possible way. Her hair is flawless. Her dress is gorgeous. Her makeup is understated but beautiful. Second, I love any excuse to see Hayden with Connie Britton because their show “Nashville” is going to be awesome. Third. Matt Kemp. Fourth? Well, I guess that’s actually pretty much it. Hayden has been confusing for me as of late. Sometimes she looks like she’s trying too hard to be older than she is. That isn’t the case here and I definitely appreciate that.

Jessica Alba is such a beautiful woman. When I think about the most beautiful actresses, models and musicians currently working in the entertainment industry, Jessica Alba is pretty darn close to the top of my list. I like the fact that she doesn’t seem entirely comfortable with her position in the spotlight. That tells me she doesn’t have a typical Hollywood ego. Of course, I could be wrong about that but that’s how Jessica’s attitude comes across to me. She has been accused of being a little less than warm and friendly with photographers but I think that’s her right. Here in Italy, she spends a little time with her beautiful children playing in the water. I love these pictures because, for once, Jessica doesn’t seem fixated on getting away from the cameras. Instead she is ignoring them and enjoying her time with her kids. That really warms my heart. Plus, ya know, Jessica Alba in a bikini. Pretty hard to go wrong there.

Miley Cyrus does not need my stamp of approval. She has legions of fans who love her and is engaged to a gorgeous guy who also has legions of fans. Things are going pretty well for Miss. Cyrus. With that said, she may not need my stamp of approval but for this look, she’s going to get it anyway. In the last few days, I’ve posted about Lady Gaga and Aubrey O’Day rocking a look similar to this one but there is one thing Miley’s look has that their didn’t – pants. Bold pantyhose/tights are trendy right now and Miley cashes in on that trend but has the common sense to slide a pair of black cutoffs on over the tights and to me, that makes all the difference. The look is still a little bit trashy (it’s hard to make fishnets look anything but), yet it doesn’t cross the line into too trashy. Miley has really been maturing as of late. Perhaps it’s the impending nuptials or perhaps it’s just a natural part of getting older, but I’m really starting to like this girl – at least in terms of her fashion choices.
