I freaking love “Californication” although I freely admit this is not a show intended for all audiences. All of the sex really turns a lot of people away from the show but I don’t think the show would be the same without it. With that said, I want to talk about Natascha McElhone for a moment which works as that’s who these photos are show and my job is to write about the photos. I have never found Natascha attractive on the show. I know her character, Karen, is supposed to be the love of Hank Moody’s life (Hank, by the way, who is played brilliantly by one of my biggest celebrity crushes, David Duchovny), but I just never saw why Hank was so head over heels for her. I totally get it now. These photos are incredible. Those eyes of hers are stunning. I’m not sure how I missed it before. I think I might be seeing Karen a whole new way from here on out.

I think Ana Beatriz Barros is an extremely beautiful woman and I’ll talk more about all of that stuff in a moment but first I need to comment on her bikini. I normally don’t really have much to say about the actual bikinis on the girls I write about but this bikini is different. It’s spectacular. I’m not sure if it’s the color, the pattern or the fabric on the hip that makes me love it so much but there’s definitely something. I’m not a bikini girl. When I hit the beach, I’m in cutoffs and a t-shirt but this bikini? I would totally wear that. It probably wouldn’t fit me quite the way it fits Ana but that’s fine with me. Anyway, enough about the bikini. On to Ana. She’s so incredibly beautiful but in such a unique way. I think that’s why she’s always stood out in my mind so much. There are lots of models in the world but there’s something special about Ana that sticks with me. Perhaps it’s that little tattoo on her ankle. Or perhaps it’s just her in general. Either way, I love the woman. Great pictures.

I really want to like Nicki Minaj. I checked out her album and it definitely has moment I can really get behind but for the most part, I have to admit I’m not really a huge fan. I’d like her style if it didn’t all feel a little “been there done that”. I think I’m being to harsh. I do that sometimes. What I do like about Nicki is that she really marches to the beat of her own drum and is unapologetic about that. That goes double here in Oahu, Hawaii as she films her new music video for her song “Starship”. The bikini, the wig – it’s all so over the top but I like it. I heard the song and I’m still a little iffy about it but I’ll give it a few more listens. I could end up loving it. It wouldn’t be the first time I hated a tune that wound up being one of my favorites. I’m looking at you “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5.

I love Selena Gomez and I love Vanessa Hudgens. These pictures from the set of “Spring Breakers” have me even more excited for the movie than I already was. I think it’s going to be a good one but I have to be honest, I already had my mind made up about this movie the moment I heard James Franco was involved. I love that man in ways that can’t be described with mere words. Although it’s entirely possible this movie will be terrible, I think it’s going to be a lot better than a lot of people think it will be. Again, the honest thing – I’ve never seen a Selena Gomez movie I’ve enjoyed. I kind of liked “Beastly” and enjoyed “Sucker Punch” (both feature Vanessa) more than I thought I would. I think this could be the movie that changes that record for both of these girls for me though. Are my hopes to high? I guess we’ll see when “Spring Breakers” hits theaters.

Sorry folks, I just didn’t see the Jennifer Lopez nip slip everyone seems to be talking about today. Jennifer is laughing off the reports, claiming she was too tightly packed into her dress for anything to pop out and I suppose I believe her. I don’t think it really matters. In my always humble opinion, Jennifer was the best dressed lady at the Oscars this year. Sexy but yet classy – she stole the show although I have to admit Cameron Diaz isn’t looking to shabby either. I’ve always admired Cameron’s laid back style but she definitely knows how to glam it up as well. I love that she and Jennifer got to present together at the 84th Annual Academy Awards. They make a striking pair. For me, this was one of the best moments of the show.

I am not afraid to admit when I have no idea what I’m talking about. I went into today’s assignments and saw Alexandra Stan’s name on my list of posts and thought this would be one of those posts. I looked at the pictures and was absolutely stricken by how beautiful this woman is. Her eyes nearly stopped my heart. I have a thing for eyes. A nice body is a nice body but beautiful eyes really grab my attention. I also love the fact that these pictures have an interesting, unique feel to them – a real retro sort of vibe and that really speaks to me too. In other words, Alexandra really sparked my interest so I decided to take a moment or two to learn more about her. Turns out, I actually do know what I’m talking about with this one. In August 2011, Alexandra – a Romanian born musician – released an album called “Saxobeats”. A friend gave me the album and told me to listen to it and I fell in love. For whatever reason though, I didn’t connect the name with the music. Gorgeous and talented? Yes please! Love Alexandra!
