Rihanna was at the launch of the Rihanna Collection of Umbrellas. This was timely as Spring was expected around the corner. We all know how unpredictable spring rains are. Last season’s experience taught us. I like the idea of using a huge umbrella. I got drenched whenever I used my small one. Since I won’t get to share an umbrella with Rihanna anytime soon, I can dream about her if I buy one of her signature umbrellas.
And we have another celebrity launching their own line of design products, this time it is Kylie Minogue and she’s taking a twist. Nope, it’s not fragrance, cosmetics, or high fashion, it’s home furnishings. Yes, this is the ‘new thing’ as Cindy Crawford will be happy to tell you. Here is Kylie at the launch of her home furnishings line, which is eloquently being dubbed as ‘Kylie at Home’. Kylie is seen her launching the line in London. And I have to say, a girl in a feathered dress doesn’t really inspire me to buy bedding linen, but hey, maybe this is a move to get the men more involved in the purchase of home furnishings. It might just work! What do you think?
Petra Nemcova was a guest at the Miss Czech pageant finals. She looked beautiful in her yellow dress. If the bar went any lower, there would have been a wardrobe malfunction. The older guy seemed determined not to be distracted by the lovely bundle seated next to him. Anyway, Petra managed to do a few steps with a young man and they lit up in megawatt smiles. I’m sure Petra could have danced some more if her gown wasn’t so long and impeding her movements…
All right, here’s one look at former American Idol sweetheart Katharine McPhee (I say former because she barely had a hit album and she’s recently been dropped by her label!) before she tied the knot with her boyfriend in Hawaii. Lovin’ the hat, girl! And of course… just look at the sexy legs! Wowza, huh? Katharine wed her longtime boyfriend, who’s almost twice her age. This couple does show that age does not matter at all!
At the premiere of “The Hottie & The Nottie”, at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theater, Paris Hilton showed off what a rich diva she was. She had an expensive gown made in the style of Marilyn Monroe’s dress that appeared in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.” She looked fabulous and stole the limelight away from her co-star, Christine Lakin. She even managed to strike an hour glass figure in her pose. Indeed, Paris had previously revealed that she was a fan of Marilyn Monroe, and would try to emulate her success as an actress.
Alessandra Ambrosio wore pink at the Pink Motel. What a beautiful coincidence. Her lingerie shoot showed her in a series of sexy, see through suits and nighties. She’s so slim that her one piece suit hung loose on her. That was the reason why her hind shots look decent. There was not an ounce of flab. I wonder how much of exercise and dieting was put into achieving her great figure. I’ll love to see more of Alessandra any day.
