The amfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS 2008 gala was at Le Moulin de Mougins, southern France. The prestigious function was held on Thursday, May 22, 2008. Petra Nemcova was dressed in a sexy bustier that showed off her assets. Her gown was daring but Petra still adhered to convention by wearing a corset underneath. It helped to push up her cleavage by several notches. It was a pity that it showed up after being dislodged by normal use.
Is it just me or is Denise Richards a.k.a. former Charlie Sheen’s wife looking like a wax figure in these photos? Denise was recently on the Today Show 20.5 and although she looked as pretty as ever, she somehow looked as if she lost that sparkle in her eyes. Could it be because she’s stressed out over the custody proceedings between her and her ex hubby? It’s great to see “Sex and the City” actress Kristin Davis back in the limelight. Great to see her busy doing the rounds of latenight television shows and all. Here she is doing the “Late Show with David Letterman” in New York City and of course, prior to her guesting, she did the autograph tasks, posing for the paps and fans bit. Truth be told, it’s good to see Kristin being all goody-goody with the fans. After all, she’s been rumored to having had a tumultuous, addiction-filled past. Gwyneth Paltrow was at the photo call for “Two Lovers” alone because her co-star, Joaquin Phoenix, was ill with stomach problems. He told somebody that he was extremely disappointed to have missed the premiere of his own movie. The plot on “Two Lovers” was about a bachelor who faced a serious dilemma. His family desired him to marry a family friend while he had set his heart on the girl next door.
We all miss this former Adams Family girl doing the red carpet chores so here she is! Christina Ricci is currently at France’s Cannes Festival to help promote her film. Here she is at the Chopard soiree in Cannes. Is she looking mighty fierce or what?! With slick, carefully combed hair, elegant black gown and decent make-up (remember those times when Christina would be caught by the paps looking like she just got out of bed?!), Christina was a sight to behold! Jennifer Tilly made her trip to Cannes to promote her new movie, Inconceivable. Jennifer’s other female co-star was Andie McDowell. This was a movie about infertile couples, singles, gay men and lesbians. It tried to explore the issues this class of people faced as they grappled with their problems. As this film was made as a satire, the presentation of infertility and conception was dealt with in a light, superficial and entertaining way.
