Emmanuelle is a Jew and when she was typecast into this movie to play an opposite type like a Palestine, some people raised eyebrows. Emmanuelle said that she enjoyed working with her co-star, Adam Sandler. She praised his generosity and his talents in making this comedy. She had hopes that this movie would give her career a boost.
