I’ve always been a big fan of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet. Now, all these years later, I’m finding that I’m also a fan of his daughter, Zoe Kravitz. I remember seeing her in her first film roles back in 2007 (“No Reservations”, “The Brave One”) but it wasn’t until her appearances on Showtime’s “Californication” that I really started recognizing what a talented young woman she is. She’s obviously incredibly beautiful but she has the real, natural talent to have a successful and long lasting career. Her role on “Californication” not only showed off her acting skills but also gave a boarder audience a glimpse of her skills as a musician. Here in South Beach with her boyfriend, “Gossip Girl” actor Penn Badgley, Zoe seems to be relaxed and at ease, enjoying her time with her boyfriend with little attention paid to the cameras snapping pictures. I love this girl. She is, without question, one of my favorite young celebrities working in the industry today.
Wow, with the shades on, she looks A LOT like her mum, Lisa Bonet. I’ve never seen Zoe acting, so I can’t really say what she’s like as an actress, but if you say she’s good, then I think I might check her out and see for myself :-)
She’s definitely got talent. She wasn’t really on “Californication” for long, but she was very good in it. She played the vocalist/guitarist in an all girl band called Queens of Dogtown. It you like good rock music, I’d check out their version of “Would?” by Alice in Chains. I didn’t notice how much she looks like Lisa but wow, she really does. Lucky girl. I think Lisa is absolutely stunning.
Well, good for Zoe! She has her mum’s acting gene then. I’ve seen a heck of a lot of musicians in films and they’ve been reeeeally bad actors. They should have just gotten them to sing and nothing else ‘cos singing is what they do best, not acting.
I’m into whatever sounds good to me – I don’t particularly stick to genres – so I’ll check out that song. Thanks.
