There was a time when I couldn’t stand Jennifer Lopez and that time wasn’t really all that long ago. She had that whole diva persona going on and it just turned me off. I always thought she was beautiful but that diva-tude sort of ruined that for me. After spending the last two seasons watching her on “American Idol” though, I have to say my perception of her has changed completely. She comes across as so much more down to earth and grounded on the show than I would’ve expected. Here in Rio de Janeiro, we get to see another thing I love about Jennifer – her love for her children. She just seems so happy and at peace when she’s with her children. Of course it doesn’t hurt that she also looks fabulous.

Every time I write about Jennifer Lopez I talk about how much I love her. Now that “American Idol” is on the air again and I’m seeing her several times a week on television, I love her even more. I’m a bit hot and cold on Jennifer’s music although I love her acting but I really became a fan with “Idol”. She’s had a hard time escaping the ‘diva’ label and I think the show is finally starting to help her do that. Each time an episode airs, we get to see Jennifer as a real person who sincerely seems to care about the contestants on the show. Here in Rio De Janeiro, Jennifer is showing off two things I’ve always loved about J-Lo – her body and her confidence. This woman is all woman. Love to see her doing so well again.

Sorry folks, I just didn’t see the Jennifer Lopez nip slip everyone seems to be talking about today. Jennifer is laughing off the reports, claiming she was too tightly packed into her dress for anything to pop out and I suppose I believe her. I don’t think it really matters. In my always humble opinion, Jennifer was the best dressed lady at the Oscars this year. Sexy but yet classy – she stole the show although I have to admit Cameron Diaz isn’t looking to shabby either. I’ve always admired Cameron’s laid back style but she definitely knows how to glam it up as well. I love that she and Jennifer got to present together at the 84th Annual Academy Awards. They make a striking pair. For me, this was one of the best moments of the show.

I feel like I’ve seen these pictures of Jennifer Lopez before. Perhaps they’re a throwback to an earlier photo shoot. I don’t think it really matters either way. Jennifer is an incredibly beautiful woman and hasn’t lost a bit of her appeal over the course of her time in the spotlight. She was stunning when she first appeared on the scene back in the “Selena” days she she’s stunning now. I love the fact that Jennifer has curves. There are far too many women in Hollywood that are waif thin and look in need of a sandwich. Jennifer has always been proof that curves are sexy and that’s one of the things I love most about her. Love Jennifer – everything about her. Even in her undies, she’s still a class act all the way.

I know I’ve said it time and time again, but I really do love Jennifer Lopez. I don’t care about her personal life and all of that drama. Sure it’s interesting to read about but there are far more intriguing things about Jennifer to talk about. Her movies are nearly always panned by critics but to be honest, I actually like a good romantic comedy from time to time and she’s definitely made some good ones. As much as I hate admitting it in public, “Monster-In-Law” is one of my all time favorite movies in the rom-com genre. Her music has always been somewhat hit or miss with me but that can be said for just about every pop star out there. I’m just not a big fan of pop music but she’s released a few songs that I crank up and dance to in my living room when I’m feeling down. Here, Jennifer films “Q Viva! The Chosen” in Peru. The show will be a talent competition that I imagine will be similar to “American Idol”. Perhaps not, but I’ll be watching regardless. I’ll be watching for the same reason I watched “American Idol” this year – Jennifer. Okay, that’s not entirely true. I tuned in to AI for Steven Tyler but Jennifer was a wonderful bonus.

So Jennifer Lopez is dating Casper, one of her backup dancers. Are they getting serious? Who knows for sure but these shots were taken as they frolicked on the beach together in Hawaii with Jennifer’s kids which is probably a pretty good sign that they are. I would love to know what it is with pop superstars and their backup dancers. We went down that road with Britney Spears and Kevin Federline and, come to think of it, hasn’t Jennifer Lopez already gone down this road with ex-husband, Chris Judd. Anyway, I wish nothing but the best for Jennifer and Casper. Jennifer has had a rough go of it with the men in her life. I’d like to see her get it right. I love the woman. She deserves happiness and I’m hoping Casper can help her find it.
