Paris was escorted by Nicky because her boyfriend was away. Benji Madden and his band, Good Charlotte, was away on tour. I wonder why Paris did not join him this time. After all, she had toured with Benji previously. Perhaps she had other commitments to fulfill.

She said that the movie, The Burning Plain, was a journey of self-discovery for her character.
