Here’s the thing about me and “Jersey Shore”. I was among the many, many “Jersey Shore” haters before I’d actually watched the show. I think that’s pretty typical honestly. This show gets so much bad press it’s hard to be objective. The exploits of the cast are pretty common knowledge whether you’ve even turned in to a single episode. I doubt I ever would’ve bothered giving the show a chance had I not been asked to write season three episode recaps for another website I write for. I like to be as informed as possible so I checked out the first two seasons before diving into three. To my surprise, I kind of enjoyed the show. It was definitely a guilty pleasure but I found that I was interested in what these crazy kids got up to. There was one real strong point for me – Jennifer “Jwoww” Farley. This is one strong, confident babe. She doesn’t take crap and I respect that. Is she a shining example of morality? No, of course not, but she’s on “Jersey Shore”. No one expects that of her. By the time season four rolled around, I was kind of excited but every guilty pleasure has it’s breaking point and that point came surprisingly early in season four for me. All of the ridiculous drama got old. I got tired of listening to all the fighting. Sammi and Ronnie, Snooki and her man, The Situation and, well, everyone. Nope. Done. Still, we had a good run and my affection for Jwoww lives on.

Catherine McNeil first gained the attention of the public at only fourteen when she won the “Girlfriend” model search. Since that time, she’s been working steadily as a model, really reaching the big time around 2007 when she landed work with some of the biggest names in fashion including D&G, Gaultier, Donna Karen and Dior. She’s appeared on the cover of both the French and Australian branches of “Vogue” magazine as well as “V” and “Numero”. She’s walked the runway for the likes of Dior, Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Yves St. Laurent. Not a bad resume at all. In these bikini shots taken in Bondi, Australia, Catherine shows the world why she’s often listed as one of the most beautiful models in the world. She doesn’t look like every other model on the runway. There’s something unique about her and that’s perhaps what I like about her the most. There’s just something about this girl. I can’t wait to see where her career takes her from here.

One has to hand it to Stephanie Seymour. The lady still looks terrific in a bikini. In these new bikini shots taken while on holiday with her family in St. Barts, Stephanie looks incredible. This 43 year old stunner took a little heat not too long ago about being perhaps a little too affectionate with her son but that was then and this is now. In all likelihood it was a lot of drama about nothing anyway. I’ve been a Stephanie Seymour fan since way back in the early-mid nineties when she was with Axl Rose but to be honest, I lost track of her for a while. It’s nice to get to see more of her again and it’s definitely nice to see she hasn’t lost her charm. She’s a strong, confident woman and that shows. She looks like she’s having a great holiday relaxing with her family.

Sandra Bullock is the kind of woman the new generation of Hollywood starlets should really be looking to for inspiration if they want long and successful careers. While Sandra’s really made her name in romantic comedies, let’s not forget the lady has an Academy Award for her brilliant performance in “The Blind Side”. More than that though, Sandy is the epitome of grace and class. She got through one of the most explosive cheating scandals in recent Hollywood history virtually unscathed. Why? Not just because her ex is a d-bag of the highest order but because she had the good sense to stay out of the spotlight and only address the scandal briefly and after an appropriate amount of time. She is also a woman completely capable at laughing at herself. I’ll admit, some of her career choices have baffled me. Anyone remember “All About Steve”. When the film was awarded multiple Razzies, the film industry’s highest dishonor, Sandra not only showed up to accept her award for “Worst Actress”, she showed up with a wheelbarrow full of “Steve” DVDs. It’s that kind of thing that shows this isn’t a girl that takes herself too seriously, despite being a huge name in Hollywood. I missed her appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in Burbank but I’m going to go ahead and assume Sandy was as funny and charming as she was beautiful. This lady was my very first girl crush. Perhaps it shows a little.

I’ve never really been a big fan of Girls Aloud but I’ve always been a big fan of Sarah Harding. I’m not sure how that’s possible but there it is. I love this girl. She’s got a fantastic smile and a lovely body. The former is a bigger selling point for me than the latter though. I love a girl with a killer smile. Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that my own smile leaves a lot to be desired. Psychology aside, there’s just something about Sarah that gets to me. Here in London, Sarah takes a pretty basic look – jeans and a jacket – and makes it work for her. As I’ve made clear in past posts, I don’t like big sunglasses and that’s no exception here but that’s really just a personal pet peeve. Sarah looks gorgeous, relaxed and casual. I think these could be among my favorite pictures of this stunner.

I can remember a time, not too long ago actually, that I had no idea who Rosie Hungington was. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Rosie only really hit the mainstream when she was cast as Megan Fox’s replacement in the most recent “Transformers” movie but that isn’t to say she didn’t have a fan base before that whole thing. It isn’t hard to see how she garnered that fan base. The woman is gorgeous. There’s something unique about her that I find incredibly appealing beyond the smoking hot body but to be honest, I can’t quite put my finger on what that is. Perhaps it’s the sort of old school Hollywood glamour she’s got going on in some of these shots. I really enjoy that. Regardless, I’m positive we haven’t seen the last of Rosie and I’m pretty happy about that.
