Recovering addict and former pop princess Britney Spears looked like a washed out (literally speaking) bikini-clad lady in Costa Rica. Fortunately, Brit looked as if she was having a good time anyway! Britney brought along a skim board and a guy pal (I guess that’s her instructor?) and of course, her always-on-hand dark sunglasses! Karolina Kurkova attended the 43rd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, May 18. The function was the biggest event in the country for that day. Many present and past country music celebrities turned up to honor the event. Karolina looked beautiful in her mini dress and high heels. She was happy to bask in the glow of the festive mood. Many other non-singers also turned up to share the spot light.
Z100’s Zootopia with Miley Cyrus has shown a different side of Miley. Miley gave a sneak preview of her new album, which is called “Breakout.” Ths would be out in the stores on July 22. She has started to discard her old Hannah Montana image and songs. Miley’s new album would contain more standard pop songs. It would reach out to a wider mass market. Miley has also drawn inspiration from Blondie, rock and layered vocals.
Eva Longoria looked gorgeous at the Cannes Opening Ceremony dinner. Her silver, bare backed number was pretty modest as it had breast pockets that served as nipple shields. The latest gossip on Eva was about her efforts to get pregnant. Eva’s contract on Desperate Housewives meant that she could not interrupt the taping of the show with a pregnancy. A spy who saw Eva lunching with Tony Parker recently said that she was eating a lot. That might mean that Eva was finally granted her secret wish.
Jennifer Tilly made her trip to Cannes to promote her new movie, Inconceivable. Jennifer’s other female co-star was Andie McDowell. This was a movie about infertile couples, singles, gay men and lesbians. It tried to explore the issues this class of people faced as they grappled with their problems. As this film was made as a satire, the presentation of infertility and conception was dealt with in a light, superficial and entertaining way.
Lola Ponce is a beautiful actress. She attended the premiere of the Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. This was the first weekend of the film’s opening and it faced stiff competition from another new movie; Prince Caspian. The new Indy movie had plenty of nostalgia as Harrison Ford reprised his former role. Harrison looked quite good as he had maintained a strict exercise schedule. He managed to perform many of the stunts himself.
