Halloween is my favorite time of the year and I can always count on young Hollywood to remind me why that is. In these photos, we see Ashley Tisdale and her friends looking smoking hot in their Halloween costumes although I have to confess I’m not entirely sure who they’re all supposed to be. Doesn’t matter. They look gorgeous and they’re showing a lot of skin so they win. I can’t write about Ashley though without mentioning here very brief stint on “Sons of Anarchy”. Sons is, without question, one of my absolute favorite shows and I was excited to see Ashley make her appearance. I was a little disappointed by how quickly that appearance ended. She served a purpose of course, allowing Charlie Humman’s Jax and Jimmy Smitts’ Nero to form a sort of bond but still, it would’ve been nice to see her around a little bit more. All the same, I think she did a great job. Maybe we’ll see her again eventually. I wouldn’t rule anything out with this show.

I said it last time but I’ll say it again. I like Rumer Willis a little more each time I see her. I think these pictures, snapped in Maui, are fantastic. Rumer has a great body and while I still feel there’s something a little masculine about her jawline, it seems less severe than it used to. Perhaps she just needed to grow into her looks. I really feel like she’s getting more attractive with age. She’s certainly getting more self confident and self assured and I can’t fault her for that. I like the way Rumer carries herself. She doesn’t seem desperate for attention like many other celebs her age and I appreciate that as well. Perhaps that’s because she’s never exactly been hurting for attention. My only question is whether or not she’ll ever be able to fully get out of her parents’ shadow. I think she has the talent to do it. Now it’s just a matter of taking on the right film roles and figuring out where she fits in in the Hollywood landscape.

I don’t know when Halloween became an excuse for women to dress in the sluttiest costumes imaginable but at some point, that definitely happened. Every year, Paris Hilton is a great example of that. She’s not alone, of course. All sorts of Hollywood starlets seem to choose costumes based on how much skin they’ll be able to show without fearing arrest. It’s not really my cup of tea, honestly. You know whose Halloween costume I look forward to every year? Heidi Klum. She often shows a lot of skin but always in a very interesting, creative way and I think that’s what Halloween is all about. These photos of Paris Hilton attending a Halloween Party in Beverly Hills are a little disappointing to me. First, I swear she wore this same costume a few years back and second, there’s really nothing creative about it. Her friends are far more interesting to look at. I’m sure by the time Halloween has actually come and gone though, we’ll see several more slutty Paris Hilton costumes and they’ll probably be better than this one.

There aren’t many women in the entertainment industry that can pull of cute while still being sexy but Natalie Portman is most definitely one of those women. Those big beautiful eyes of hers absolutely melt my heart. What I like about Natalie most though is that she’s a woman with a brain. So many women in Hollywood feel they have to hide their intellect but Natalie doesn’t and I find that extremely appealing. Natalie doesn’t hide anything about herself to try to boost her career. She is who she is and she lets her genuine talent speak for itself. I absolutely love her in every possible way and these pictures? Fantastic.

In my always humble opinion, Halle Berry is everything a woman in Hollywood should be. She’s strong, confident, smart and doesn’t seem to be all about playing the Hollywood game. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that she’s smoking freaking hot as well. There are few actresses I respect and admire as much as I respect and admire Halle. I love the way she carries herself. She always seems to self assured but, at the same time, doesn’t take herself too seriously. This is, after all, the woman who showed up to the Razzies to accept her “Worst Actress” award, something not many actresses (Sandra Bullock being a notable exception) would do. I don’t give a flying rat’s behind about Halle’s personal life. I’m confident it will all work out for the best interest of her daughter, which is what I think Halle really wants. Even if she doesn’t get exactly what she wants in the custody battle, I’m sure she’ll make sure she does what her daughter needs instead of doing what she wants.

How great is it to see Kirsten Dunst again? I love this woman. I honestly do. Kirsten is gorgeous, talented and really deserves to be a much bigger star than she is. Sometimes I look at the more popular actresses in Hollywood and wonder how that happens. Kirsten has had her problems but she really seems to be in control of her life again and I need to add for the record that I absolutely love these photos. She looks sexy and sultry without looking trashy. I really appreciate a woman who can pull that kind of look off. I’m hoping new photo shoots and new film projects mean Kristen is finally going to get the attention she so deserves. She’s incredible and I couldn’t be happier to be writing about her again.
