Good Golly – how much do I love Maria Menounos? That’s an unfair question. I’m quite certain my love for this lady could not be measured. I’m having a rough go of it lately. In the last month, I’ve lost my father-in-law and my uncle (my father-in-law passed away suddenly while my uncle passed away after a short battle with cancer) but when I look at Maria, I can’t help but smile. She’s just such a positive, upbeat person. She parts the rain clouds that hang over this crappy month and lets a little bit of sunshine in. Just look at these photos of Maria in New York. She’s so freaking adorable. I know there are other people in these photos I should be talking about but honestly, I barely see anyone other than Maria. This lady is like the smell of fresh baked cookies. She’s a big blanket and cup of hot cocoa on a cold day. She just makes the world a little bit brighter.

I have a serious thing for shoes, as some of our regular readers may know, and therefore feel the shows Kendall Jenner is wearing in these photos really need to be commented on. Those things are insane. They’re the kind of shoes I would buy, take home and never wear because they look impossible to walk in. Is that why Kendall looks so intense in some of these photos? Is she trying hard to focus on not breaking an ankle? I am reminded of her tweet the other day about wishing some things could be easier. I have to assume she meant walking in these sky high heels. I get where she’s coming from. I really do. I have at least two pairs of shoes I try to wear on a regular basis that always leave me wondering what I was thinking when I put them on my feet five minutes after leaving the house.  Even so, I really, really want these shoes. Oh … and Kendall looks good here.

It blows my mind that Nicole Murphy is a mother of five. That body of hers is just absolutely incredible. I’m sure a lot of work and a great diet helped her but there have to be some pretty great genes running in that family as well. In these shots, snapped in Hawaii, we see Nicole taking a little time out from what is undoubtedly a very busy schedule to enjoy a little time on the beach and I’m happy about that. I’m not a big fan of Nicole’s show, Hollywood Exes (she’s Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife), but I am a big fan of her. She’s always seemed to have so much class. I’m told I’d have a different opinion of her if I watched the show so I think I’ll skip it and keep my opinion as it is.

Remember all that drama about Heidi Klum and Seal splitting up a few months back? Me too. Did you care a whole lot? I know I didn’t. I like Seal’s music. I like Heidi Klum. I liked them as a couple (especially their Halloween costumes) but their breakup didn’t really have any impact on how I felt about either of them. None of that really matters anymore. In the world of Hollywood gossip, all of that is ancient history. What isn’t ancient history is the Cannes Film Festival, which leads us to these photos. Heidi looks absolutely stunning in these shots. I’ve always loved this woman’s class on the red carpet, even when she’s wearing racy numbers. What an incredible beauty. I love this lady and couldn’t give less of a flying Fig Newton about who she is or isn’t dating.

Ah, how embarrassing. I absolutely love it when there is more than one celebrity out there with the same name and I get them confused. I especially love it when readers catch my mistake before I do. I humbly apologize for being a tool. This Chloe Sims is not, in fact, the gymnast. This Chloe Sims is a cast member on The Only Way is Essex, a show I am clearly not familiar enough with. In fact, the two Chloes look nothing alike at all. I thought the pretty gymnast had changed her looks a lot here in these photos but shrugged it off. Thanks to rkbarber96 for pointing out the mistake and not being a jerk about it. It’s much appreciated.

I’ve got to say, I’m pretty happy about the decisions The CW made this fall television season. It kept all of my favorite shows – Hart of Dixie, Arrow, The Vampire Diaries (to a lesser extend) – and picked up the show I’m perhaps most excited about, The Originals. I’m less happy about their decision to cancel Emily Owens M.D. because I really feel it had a lot of potential and left us with a huge cliffhanger in the series finale. Not fair! All the same, I got most of what I wanted so I’m happy. What does all that have to do with Kristin Kreuk? Well, not a lot really. Her show, Beauty and the Beast was also picked up for a second season and while I’m sure fans of the show are pretty excited about that, I didn’t really have much of a reaction. I haven’t gotten around to tuning in yet. Perhaps I will now because I have to say, these photos of Kristen in NYC have me quite interested in learning more about her. She’s not your typical knockout. She’s got something unique about her look and I really like that. She also has great style. Now, I only need to find out if she can act! Based on the show’s fan base, I’m going to go ahead and assume she can. Guess I’ll tune in and fine out for myself. Glad I’ll have the chance. In an era where networks seem all too eager to cancel shows (Last Resort and Go On hurt especially bad), it’s nice to see a network willing to stand by its shows, even if the ratings aren’t terrific. Way to go, CW!
