Doutzen Kroes

A few days ago, I was writing a post about Doutzen Kroes and her family enjoying a little beach time. This kind of feels like déjà vu; not that I’m complaining, of course. I love Doutzen. Although I will admit the woman is a bit on the thin side, I don’t think she looks frighteningly thin. She looks like a woman that takes good care of herself. She looks tones and in shape, not just boney. I like that. Here in Miami, Florida, Doutzen once again looks to be having a great time with her beautiful son and her friends. That’s always nice to see. I’m a sucker for a woman that can take time out for her family and Doutzen definitely seems to be that kind of woman.

Doutzen Kroes started working for Victoria’s Secret in 2004 and officially became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2008 and I have been a big fan of hers since the very beginning of her time at VS. She’s just so beautiful. There’s a sort of retro vibe about her that really appeals to me. More than the fact that she’s beautiful though, I love the work Doutzen does with Live to Dance, a charity organization that aims to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention through song and dance. Here in Miami, Doutzen looks beautiful of course but she also looks so happy with her family. It’s hard to believe her son, Phyllon Joy, was just born in January of 2011. Beautiful, happy looking family. I love these pictures and I adore Doutzen.

I don’t like Michael Bay. I have no idea why. Just a thing I have about him, I guess. When I heard he would be shooting one of my favorite Victoria’s Secret models for a new VS photo shoot, I was a little unsure of how I felt. I love Doutzen Kroes. She’s beautiful and always seems to look so natural in her photos. Even so, the whole Michael Bay thing kind of made me hesitate. If these photos from the set of that Victoria’s Secret spread (taken in Miami, Florida) are any indication though, I’m definitely not hesitating any longer. Besides, maybe I’m being a bit too harsh on old Michael Bay. He can’t be as bad as I imagine him to be.

Doutzen Kroes is quickly becoming one of my favorite Victoria’s Secret models and it isn’t hard to tell why when looking at these pictures from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011 in New York. The woman is breathtaking. I wasn’t crazy about some of the outfits they sent her to the runway in, but it hardly mattered. She looked fabulous regardless. I think what I like about her most is that she’s unique. I see Doutzen and I know it’s here. It’s hard to tell some of the other models apart but for some reason, Doutzen stands out. Maybe it’s just me. Regardless, here are some pictures of Doutzen looking smoking hot. Enjoy!

Doutzen Kroes is really starting to make a name for herself all over the world. Last year she made her return to the runway during fashion week for powerhouse name, Prada. The show earned Prada rave reviews from Marie Claire, Cosmo and prompted Hollywood Life’s Bonnie Fuller to post a blog praising the show for using curvy models like Doutzen for their show instead of the usual, emaciated women usually featured at such event. As great as that is, I have to say it’s a sad state affairs when someone like Doutzen is considered ‘curvy’. Regardless, Doutzen, as always, looks phenomenal in these pictures. The lady has a relaxed, casual sort of vibe I really like. I’m glad to see her continued success. She earned it.

Normally I pride myself on staying pretty up to date on Victoria’s Secret models but I somehow missed sexy Angel Doutzen Kroes. You might not see her quite as often as some of the more famous Victoria’s Secret models, but she’s a fairly accomplished model in her own right. This Dutch stunner has numerous magazine covers to her credit and has walked to runway for some of the world’s most famous names including Dior, Valentino, Prada and Versace. It’s not hard to tell why designers love her so much. She has the fresh faced beauty and killer body that make any clothes look good although it is a shame to see her cover up those incredible curves.
