Long ago, Perry compared herself as a skinnier version of Lily Allen and Ms Allen hated it. Now, Allen said someone gave her Perry’s personal telephone number. Allen is threatening to post the number online in Facebook if Perry does not shut up. Some people think the feud is only a war of words to up the competition.
Katy Perry was the main draw at the Gridlock New Year’s Eve Party in L.A. She wore a dress with a little peek into her cleavage. Perry performed for the 5000 strong crowd on the Paramount space. Perry was given the honor of leading everyone on their official countdown to 2009. Perry continued singing her repertoire without missing a beat. Perry, fresh back from her vacation by the beach, looked just as pale as before she left. Some people have good skin and never tan!

I’m just gonna be blunt. I love Katy Perry and in my eyes, she can do no wrong. She could hop up on stage, strip completely naked and cover herself in mustard and I wouldn’t say a word about the whole thing being a publicity stunt. There are few women in the entertainment industry I give a pass in that department but Katy is definitely one of them. Why? I have no idea. Something about the woman just gets me. In these shots, we see Katy performing on Rise at the Sydney Opera House and yeah, her outfit is a little “look at me” for my usual taste but Katy is a “look at me” kind of woman so it works.

Until Beyonce’s lip syncing scandal broke, this outfit was the event’s biggest controversy. People were talking about how inappropriate it was for a woman to be wearing this kind of outfit when she was supposed to be performing for kids. It’s a little ridiculous, really. She might be showing a little more skin than some performers may have felt comfortable showing but that’s part of her persona. I don’t think it was inappropriate at all. I’m certain kids have seen Katy showing at least this much skin before whether in her videos or photo shoots. There are a lot of issues in the world that really do have an impact on children. Katy Perry’s boobs are not among those issues. Let’s get real. She looks good and she probably put on a show the kids loved. Leave the controversy where it belongs.

I think she looks incredible. I love the hair, the sun glasses – the whole look. I know John Mayer has a bit of a reputation for being a womanizer but if there’s anyone out there that can tame a guy like John, it’s a girl like Katy. I’m a big fan of both of these people as musicians and think they both get a lot of unnecessary hate. While I’m normally pretty skeptical about Hollywood romances, I hope this one works out. I’d love to see these two make it in the long run.
