Ugh, can it just hurry up and be January of 2013 already? I am getting so tired of waiting for “Spring Breakers” to hit theaters. Starring three of my favorite young actresses in Hollywood alongside one of my favorite actors, this promises to be a great flick. I’m not sure it’s going to win any Academy Awards but it’s almost a sure thing for a spot on my favorite guilty pleasures list. Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez all look incredible here. I also love the quick glimpse we get of James Franco’s character. I was excited for the movie before but this set of photos has just kicked the excitement up to near unbearable levels. I. Can’t. Wait.

I want to start this off by saying that I love Emma Watson. I think she’s fantastic. She’s a young, Hollywood celebrity that seems to have her head on straight and I think that fact alone makes her worthy of praise and admiration. With that said, I don’t actually find her super sexy. When I look at Emma, words like “cute” and “adorable” spring to mind. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, of course. There are plenty of young actresses in Hollywood who play up the sex appeal. Emma is one of the few that doesn’t bother with all of that. She’s a breath of fresh air – a young woman content to be who she is and not try to be someone else simply because it may further her career. Not that Emma has anything to worry about in the career department, of course. I’m certain she’ll be just fine. She has the talent to do whatever she chooses. I look forward to seeing exactly where that takes her.

I don’t get how it’s possible to think Erin Heatherton is anything but stunning. I know some argue she’s a little too thin, but I really don’t see it. There are Hollywood celebrities I worry about but Erin isn’t one of them. She is skinny but she still looks healthy. This doesn’t appear to be a woman who is thin because she starves herself. Instead, she appears to be a woman to takes care of herself. I would imagine she’s into healthy eating and exercise and it shows. You can probably add “good genes” in there as well. I’m definitely not going to hold any of that against her, especially when smoking hot photos like these ones keep popping up.

You know what I love most about Kate Beckinsale? She can be sexy and show off her body without looking trashy or sleazy. Even dressed down in casual attire with her hair a little on the messy side as she strolls around LA, Kate looks stunning. I haven’t seen all of her movies, but what I have seen, I’ve definitely enjoyed. She’s just the kind of woman that appeals to me on all levels. She’s classy, smart, sexy, talented and witty. Her interviews are always enjoyable and her photos are always sexy. If I was forced to name my favorite Hollywood woman, Kate Beckinsale would probably come out on top.

I had it out for Vanessa Hudgens for a long time and that really prevented me from giving this girl a fair shake. That was wrong. Her multiple naked photo scandals made me wonder what kind of celebrity she really is. There are celebrities out there who try to make a name for themselves based on talent and hard work. There are others that leak a sex tape or naked photos to garner more attention and to hide the fact that they’re a one trick (or no trick) pony. I pegged Vanessa for the latter and I was wrong. That was then and this is now. I have a new respect for Vanessa. While taking the pictures was pretty foolish, I don’t believe she had anything to do with them hitting the internet. I think she did a fantastic job weathering the storm though and came out a wiser person on the other side of it all. As she arrives at the gym in North Hollywood, Vanessa looks beautiful, casual and confident. I still not entirely sure how her career is going to shape up but I have a lot of hope for her. She’s already seen the negative side of fame and has pressed on. That makes me think she has what it takes to have a long career in the entertainment industry.

I hate celebrities that are famous just for being famous. I hate celebrities that take every opportunity to sell themselves to the public, even at the cost of their own dignity. Super revealing outfits in completely inappropriate locations, playing up their accomplishments for the cameras, becoming a fixture on the party scene just to get their names in the headlines – these things all bug me and yet I still like Bai Ling. First, there is one distinction between Bai Ling and many of the “celebrities” she’s often lumped in with. Bai has actually had a few fairly noteworthy roles in movies and on television. I loved her on “Lost” and I thought she was great in her brief appearance in “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow”. Granted, most people know her for being the crazy outfit wearing, chicken dancing girl often photographed outside Hollywood’s most famous hot spots but at least she’s at least tried breaking into the business in a legitimate way. Here in Hawaii, Bai is pouting and posing her way through these photos and I think she looks fantastic. She might be an attention whore but I love her anyway.
