Before the Hollaback Girl made her Sweet Escape to solo stardom, Gwen Stefani was the flat stomached singer for No Doubt; the pop/ska outfit from Orange County, California that took the world by storm. I have loved this woman, her unique style and her gutsy attitude from the moment I heard Spiderwebs. Here with wax Gwen at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas, I can’t help but notice Gwen has barely changed in the at least ten years, likely more, I’ve been a fan. She still has fun fun, flirty style that no other celebrity can copy and a fresh, youthful face. She seems genuinely amused and pleased with her wax figure and who can blame her. It looks just like her! Love Madame Tussauds and love Gwen!

Blake Lively, here on the set of Gossip Girl, is a budding fashion diva and with good reason. Blake personifies the new grace in Hollywood; the younger set who are breaking away from their trashier peer and doing something more unique. She carries herself with easy poise and elegance. She’s not afraid to be sexy but knows she doesn’t have to flaunt her body every chance she gets to prove herself. The rest of young Hollywood could take notes from this one. Sure she has a stylist who probably chooses every outfit Blake wears carefully, but kudos to Blake for having the kind of confidence needed to pull off the look. In certain circles, Blake isn’t talked about as much as the Momsens and the Cyruses of the world, but in a few years, Blake’s name will still be relevant while some of her more overtly sexualized peers will have to work much harder to stay in the spotlight. Sex only sells for so long before a younger, hotter poptart steals the show.

Katy Perry is one of my favorite popstars at the moment. She’s talented, unique and seems like she’d be a long of fun. Having lunch at Dusty’s restaurant, Katy manages to be almost understated in a lose black and white sun dress and over-sized hat; a far cry from the usual form fitting dresses we usually see her in. She still looks stunning though. In fact, I almost prefer this look. She looks more relaxed and casual – like she can actually breathe. With her protector and fiancé, Russel Brand, at her side she actually looks moderately demure. On the heels of the news that Russel attacked a photographer defending her honor (the photographer was apparently trying to stick his camera lens under her skirt), Katy and Russel look closer than ever. These are one of the very few couples who seem real and genuine. I love Katy and I love these two together.

Maybe I’ve mentioned this before, but I seriously love Katy Perry. I gave her a bit of a hard time with the last pictures we saw of her, but she’s back to true form for these ones. She sexy, feisty yet still almost innocent looking. That’s not what I love about these pictures though. Actually, it’s not even the pictures I love, but the story. These were taken during Katy’s performance in Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara, California; Katy’s old high school. During her surprise performance at her old school she singled out the boy who wouldn’t date her – the most popular boy in her class – and dedicated her song ‘You’re So Gay’ to him. It’s actually one of my favorite songs Katy does, but I love the message behind it. Any girl who was ever picked on or tormented for being different in school dreams of a moment like this – I speak from experience here – and it’s great Katy got her moment. Sure it backfired when the old flame basically said he didn’t care, but Katy should be no less proud of where she is. My moment came when my biggest tormentor approached me in a bar and said I got ‘so hot’. Good moment for me, bad moment for him. Remember, high school boys. Be nice to the weird girls too. You never know who they’re going to end up becoming. We remember these things, ya know.

Remember when Denise Richards was known as an actress and not just a killer body? No? Me neither, but you can’t hate the girl for that. The girl looks damn good and she knows it. Why shouldn’t she show it off while she still has it. It’s hard to believe this woman is a mother of two but she is – and for once in Hollywood, she actually seems to be a pretty good mother. Still, Mom needs time to herself and as long as she keeps taking that time on the beach in bikinis, everyone profits. The bitter custody war with Charlie Sheen behind her, Denise is looking happier than ever and who can blame her. There’s a winner and loser in every break up and considering the state of Charlie Sheen’s life right now, one can’t help thinking she won because she lost the loser.

When people aren’t speculating about her love life and whether or not she’s dating this guy or that guy (who can even keep track these days), Ashley Greene is getting noticed more often for the fact that she may possibly be the most attractive woman in the Twilight movies. Sure Kristen Stewart has her moments, and Nikki Reed is just ridiculously hot, Ashley has the down to earth good looks that make her the most appealing. It doesn’t hurt that she has just about the perfect ass. Here in Las Vegas performing hosting duties at Wet Republic, Ashley takes a little time to pose for fan pictures and just generally look fabulous.
