Yeah, I know these pictures are pretty old but this is the first time I’ve seen them so they’re new to me. The only way I actually know they’re old is because they were snapped at The Smurfs 2 premiere in Westwood. Regardless of their age, I really like these shots. It’s nice seeing Britney Spears relaxing and having a good time and of course, it’s just always good to see Katy Perry in general. I know some of you disagree with me on that, but I can’t help it. She reminds me of a doll and for some reason, I like that.  Plus, I’ve always been a sucker for a girl with big blue eyes. And hey, that doesn’t take anything away from Brit-Brit. The girl is looking great here. Old or not, these photos really made me smile. I hope you enjoyed them as well.

A lot was made of Britney Spears’ very short stint as a judge on the US version of X Factor based, in large part, on her often dopey, sleepy appearance. I tried not to give Brit-Brit a hard time for that because she’s clearly doing what she needs to do to stay healthy. When she went through her rough patch a few years back, there were some very scary moments for anyone who knows anything about mental health. I’m okay with her looking a little dopey sometimes if it means she’s on the path to getting and staying better. What does this have to do with these shots of Britney in London? Absolutely nothing. Just felt like sharing my opinion.

Britney Spears is one of my favorite comeback stories in recent memory and she gives me hope for young celebs like Amanda Bynes. Lots of young Hollywood celebs go off the rails but Britney went crazier than anyone else. There was the head shaving, the paparazzi dating, the umbrella attacking and all sorts of other incidents that have gone down in Tinseltown history but that was a long time ago and Britney has come a long way since then. In these photos, snapped in Thousand Oaks, we’re seeing the new, healthier Britney and girl looks great. She really got her life together although it took some pretty drastic intervention from her family. I hope the same happens with Amanda Bynes. If Britney could come back with the help of supportive, loving people in her life, I think Amanda could too.

Say what you want about Britney Spears but the girl definitely turned it around for herself. There was a time that bikini pics of Britney Spears would get nothing but jeers but that time has clearly passed. Here we see Britney looking great in her bikini at a pool in Rancho Palos Verdes and it’s great to see. I was very worried about this girl for a very long time. It’s fantastic to see her looking healthy and happy again. I don’t know what kind of medication she’s on but it’s clear that it’s working for her. I’m so happy she was lucky enough to have a strong support system in place to help her through the dark days because she’s certainly come through stronger for it.

For a moment, I thought these must be old photo shoot pictures of Britney Spears because I haven’t seen the blonde babe looking this good in quite some time. When I got to the photo of Britney and her fiance, Jason, I was a little shocked. I have to hand it to Britney. She’s not only looking great but she pulled off one heck of a comeback. There are few stars that can fall as hard as Britney did and make it back to the top – or at least close enough to the top to count. I hope things continue to go well for Britney. She deserves success and happiness. I hope she finds both.

I know this is going to upset some people so let me get a few important things out of the way first. One: I like Britney Spears and I think hers is a comeback story for the ages. She makes a great judge on the “X Factor” – much better than I was expecting – and I love putting on her music when I have my “I’m too stressed out and want to dance around the living room acting like an idiot” sessions. With that said, I just don’t think she looks like the same Britney I fell in love with back in the day. Here at the “We Will Always Love You Whitney Houston” Grammy event in LA, she looks pretty and has clearly come along way but I don’t love the dress. It doesn’t seem to fit her properly. All the same, it’s great to see Britney looking healthy and happy again. I really hope she can keep that up.
