I am a huge Catherine Bell fan. I originally fell in love with her on “Jag” but fell in love with her all over again on “Army Wives”. What I like most about Catherine is the fact that she’s a different kind of beautiful. She has a sort of Maggie Gyllenhaal thing going on in that she’s sort of Old Hollywood beautiful. There’s a glamour and sophistication about her I find absolutely refreshing. I also love the fact that she’s not afraid to take risks and do something different. She appeals to me because she doesn’t have to show a ton of skin to be sexy and captivating. I’m quite sure I couldn’t love these pictures more than I do now. Amazing shots of an amazing girl.

I love Rihanna as much as the next person, perhaps even more, but I have to admit, I’m a little bit worried about her. According to several popular gossip sites/magazines she has been spending time with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and has even been flying to see him in LA. I’m really hoping that isn’t true. Of course what she does with her life is her decision. Of course it’s entirely possible he’s changed. It just concerns me. If I had to guess, I’d say the rumors aren’t true. I’ve seen a lot of pictures of Rihanna, especially pictures like these from her vacation in Hawaii. Chris hasn’t been in any of these pictures and judging by how many pictures have shown up, I have to assume she’s been in Hawaii for a while. Perhaps that’s wishful thinking on my part but until I know for sure otherwise, that’s the assumption I’m going to go with. Rihanna is a strong, confident, beautiful woman regardless of whether or not the rumors are true and I respect her deeply. If she chooses to take him back, that’s her decision and I’ll stand by her. Doesn’t mean I won’t worry for her though.

So I suppose I have to mention Katy Perry’s impending divorce from Russell Brand. There, I’ve mentioned it. Let’s move on. I think Katy is an absolutely adorable young woman that is complete, one hundred percent in control of her public image and how she wants people to see her. She can play up the sex appeal when she wants to but she can also play it down and look like the cute girl next door. She can be edgy. She can be outrageous and, as these photos of her filming a commercial for Adidas show, she can be just another normal girl working out. Sure she has blue hair but a lot of people like to play with their hair color. When I was in my teens, I used to dye my hair all sorts of crazy colors just to change things up. I love Katy and wish her nothing but continued success.

I have no idea what’s going on here. For the longest time, I never saw Maria Menounos’ name pop up on my list of assignments and now it seems she’s in every batch I get. I don’t know how I got so lucky but I hope it continues. Maria is one of my favorite female celebs in the industry today. She seems to be so grounded and approachable. Sure she’s absolutely stunning but she also doesn’t seem stuck on yourself. She isn’t afraid to have a little fun with her image and even in shoots like this that are a little more stuffy, she manages to look like she’s having fun. She seems like such a positive, happy person and that appeals to me. I love this woman. I’m thrilled I’m seeing so much of her these days.

Nothing screams class act like letting your panties hang out in front of a crowd of photographers. With shoes in hand, Irish model, psych student and reality television personality Layla Flaherty lets it all hang out and after looking at the pictures, I can’t help thinking it was anything but an accident. I have little good to say about this particular brand of celebrity so I’ll keep this one short. Sure getting photographed looking like your wasted with your skirt hiked up probably gets your name in the headlines – I’m am writing about her after all – but there much be better ways to go about it grabbing attention. Perhaps through work? Layla is a very pretty girl. Why not stick to the modeling. She also insists she has brains. Maybe she could put them to good use instead of whatever she’s doing in these pictures.

Here we go again. I love Serena Williams but I absolutely hate posting about her. I think Serena is a beautiful woman and a talented athlete and I’m not afraid to admit that. At the same time, it seems like each time I post about her, people hit up the comments section to talk about how fat she is. Muscle is not fat. It never has been and it never will be. If it is, Vin Diesel is a whale. The gender of the person the muscle is on should not make any difference. In these photos, Serena shows off her new dress for the Australian Open in Melbourne and I think she looks fantastic. She’s clearly a very muscular woman but she’s an athlete. I think she looks the way athletes should look regardless of what they have in their pants. Anyway, that’s just my opinion. Do what you want with it.
