It’s good that Taylor Momsen has The Pretty Reckless to fall back on if her acting/modeling career doesn’t work out because they seem to be doing quite well. Performing live at C-Club in Tempelhof, Berlin, Germany, Taylor owns the stage and works the crowd like any good front person does. I actually really like The Pretty Reckless even if I’m not completely sure how I feel about Momsen yet. She is a girl beyond her years – at least as far as her stage attire goes. I’d bitch about the fact that she isn’t wearing pants again, but hey, at least she wore a jacket for at least part of the performance. I’m not sure I buy her whole “I’m a punk rocker” deal, but whatever. She may have parted ways with ‘Gossip Girl’ and her high profile gig as the face of the Material Girl clothing line, but if she keeps herself together, she could easily have a successful career in music.

When last I spoke of Taylor Momsen I said she was looking almost normal. I had high hopes when I saw her name come up again. I hoped for maybe a pair of jeans and a tank top or hey, even just a skirt with a hemline lower than mid-thigh. I opened this photo set and rolled my eyes. Again with the lingerie on stage. Again with the underwear showing. Again with the raccoon eyes. It’s all getting a bit old now, isn’t it? It isn’t shocking anymore. It’s boring. Her performance at the VIP Room in Paris show more of the same old Taylor. Shock us all, Taylor! Make our jaws drop! Put on some real clothes, wash off the Courtney Love makeup and act your age. Now that would be shocking.

Taylor Momsen. For those that frequent this site, you’re probably familiar with Taylor’s usual rather risqué attire. It’s been said that Taylor choose her clothes to make a statement – to be edgy and daring. I wish I could have five minutes with this girl to tell her dressing like a skank doesn’t make her look cool. It just makes her look like a skank. Sad but true. She doesn’t need to do it. She’s a beautiful and talented girl. When I saw her name come up on my screen, I expected her to be in her underwear on stage somewhere doing her normal slut-rock thing, but instead, I saw her wearing clothes that could almost pass for normal. Hell, I was just shocked to see her wearing clothes at all. While certainly not age appropriate considering you can probably see up her dress (I refuse to look that close), the fact that she’s wearing a dress at all is fairly impressive. Maybe she’s starting to realize she doesn’t need to show off her body to get attention. Nah. It was probably just a little cold out.

It seems like it’s been forever since last we heard about little Taylor Momsen. I missed her and her crazy antics. Taylor and her band, The Pretty Reckless, hit the stage at the Tattoo Rock Parlour in Toronto and these are the pictures from that performance. I’m not the least bit surprised to see her in what look like leather panties paired with a black ‘Satan’ tank top and black thigh high tights. The problem with Momsen is that you can’t really call her sexy. I mean, she’s so young it would just be inappropriate. I was kind of growing tired of her half naked antics, but only now am I realizing what a void was left in my life when Taylor apparently decided to put on clothes. I don’t know, folks. I’m so back and forth on this girl, I get dizzy writing about her.

Get it? Because her band is called The Pretty Reckless. Yeah, lame, I know. Anyway, moving on. I don’t really know what I think of Taylor Momsen anymore. It seems like every move she makes is premeditated to make her look as bad ass as possible, but the more out there she gets, the more innocent I believe she is. Sure flashing her underage breasts on stage at one of her most recent gigs turned some heads. I, on the other hand, just rolled my eyes and yawned a little. It’s old news. This is what we know about Momsen. She has no problem talking about masturbation and her love for her vibrator. She blames her parents for her behavior because they pushed her into acting. I happen to think that’s probably the truest statement that’s ever come out of her mouth. That said, Taylor – performing here at The Academy in Manchester – is no more of a wild child that her pop culture counterpart, Miley Cyrus. The difference is Taylor wants you to think she’s as bad ass as Miley probably is. She isn’t though. She’s a little girl trying to play ball with the big kids – and she’s striking out. She comes across as a sad girl desperate for attention and I’m guessing that’s really closer to the truth.

Another day, another Taylor Momsen upskirt shot. I love that her butt cheeks are actually hanging out in this one. Normally I’d be against this sort of wardrobe for a girl Taylor’s age but really, I think she’s all shock and no substance. She looks like a bad girl but aside from the cigarette between her fingers I think she’s basically a pretty good kid. Most girls through the rebelling stage and if upskirt shots and revealing outfits are the worst we get from Taylor, I think we should be pleased. I’ve heard rumors about what other starlets her age are up to and I have to say, I’d rather Taylor be flashing a bit of skin than snorting cocaine and actually being a slut. Remember, dressing like a slut does not a slut make. There are certain actions required there and I don’t think Taylor’s actually up to any of that. If it walks like a slut and talks like a slut it may actually just be a young girl trying to make herself stand out from the crowd.
