I freaking love “Californication” although I freely admit this is not a show intended for all audiences. All of the sex really turns a lot of people away from the show but I don’t think the show would be the same without it. With that said, I want to talk about Natascha McElhone for a moment which works as that’s who these photos are show and my job is to write about the photos. I have never found Natascha attractive on the show. I know her character, Karen, is supposed to be the love of Hank Moody’s life (Hank, by the way, who is played brilliantly by one of my biggest celebrity crushes, David Duchovny), but I just never saw why Hank was so head over heels for her. I totally get it now. These photos are incredible. Those eyes of hers are stunning. I’m not sure how I missed it before. I think I might be seeing Karen a whole new way from here on out.

I really want to like Nicki Minaj. I checked out her album and it definitely has moment I can really get behind but for the most part, I have to admit I’m not really a huge fan. I’d like her style if it didn’t all feel a little “been there done that”. I think I’m being to harsh. I do that sometimes. What I do like about Nicki is that she really marches to the beat of her own drum and is unapologetic about that. That goes double here in Oahu, Hawaii as she films her new music video for her song “Starship”. The bikini, the wig – it’s all so over the top but I like it. I heard the song and I’m still a little iffy about it but I’ll give it a few more listens. I could end up loving it. It wouldn’t be the first time I hated a tune that wound up being one of my favorites. I’m looking at you “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5.

Irish singer/actress Samantha Mumba looks absolutely gorgeous as she enjoys her vacation in Hawaii and I’m thrilled about that. I’ve been a fan of this woman for quite some time now and it’s great to see new pictures of her and her husband. These two just look so happy together. One thing that’s always appealed to me about Samantha is the fact that she really seems to have found a way to stay grounded. You don’t see her embroiled in the scandals many of her contemporaries seem to get caught up in for the most part and I like that about her. It’s easier to keep your name in the headlines for bad behavior but Samantha doesn’t seem quite so desperate to keep the spotlight on her. I love these photos and I love this woman.

How did I miss that little piece of news? I guess I’m getting behind on my celebrity gossip these days. Anyway, on to the pictures. As always, Alessandra Ambrosio looks absolutely stunning. I love everything about the dress she’s wearing here on ‘El Hormiguero’ in Madrid. The color is fabulous on her and I love the style of the dress. It’s flattering but still offers a little glimpse of her baby bump. I’m always a bit nervous when I see pregnant women in heels like that though. Pregnancy is a lot of stress on the back to begin with. I suppose what she puts on her feet – pregnant or otherwise – is none of my business though. Despite my heel concerns, I love these pictures. She looks like she’s having a great time.

I am not a real housewives of anywhere fan. I just don’t get the appeal of the series as a whole. I guess it all comes down to personal preference. While I have my guilty tv pleasures (“Revenge”, “American Idol”, “Dancing with the Stars” etc), I have checked out episodes of various Real Housewives shows and I just don’t get it not that any of the shows need me. They seem to be doing fine. Anyway, despite the fact that I’ve never really seen “Real Housewives of New York” I am familiar with star Bethenny Frankel. She always seems to be getting up to something interesting, in this case that something is strutting the beaches of Miami in a bikini. I’m not sure these pictures really do anything for me but I have to hand it to her. The girl is definitely confident. I suppose I have to give her credit for that one.

Until “American Horror Story” I wasn’t terribly familiar with Connie Britton. I knew she had some success in acting and had a fairly sizable fan base – enough that I’d heard her name quite often – but hadn’t seen much of her work myself. Then “American Horror Story” came along and I fell in love. While Vivian wasn’t really my favorite character on the show (that honor would have to be split between Constance and Tate), Connie’s portrayal of Vivian was award worthy. I’m a little surprised to see these pictures of Connie chilling out by the pool at the Four Seasons in the Caribbean. I guess I so closely associate her with her character, it’s weird to see her in such a normal setting. She looks incredible though. Who would’ve guessed she has such a great body. She also looks like she’s having a great time. I love this woman. I can’t wait to see where her post AHS career takes her.
