I’ve made my feelings for Lady Gaga pretty clear. I am totally pro Gaga, but I always tell the truth here. That’s kind of my job. That’s why this post hurts a little to write. Lady Gaga – put on some freaking pants! This boring, worn out, over played no pants thing is just so old now. We’ve seen it all before. We get it. You’re edgy. You’re out there. You have got to be freezing your damn ass off. It’s to the point now that I see a picture of you wearing something normal and I’m more shocked. You’re a talented singer and your songs are catchy as hell. You don’t need all of this anymore. At least, you don’t need to be replaying your own stunts. If you’re running out ideas, hit the town wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I promise you – that will make the news.

Things have been a little quiet for Joss Stone lately, haven’t they? I remember when this girl first hit the music scene with her horrible cover of an awesome song (Fell In Love With a Girl by The White Stipes) but then followed it up with a pretty awesome song of her own. Then I didn’t hear about her again. Looking at her now, though, all grown up and sexy in Hawaii, I am reminded of my first thought when I saw her back in the day – she’s hot. While her career may have seen better days, her body sure hasn’t. I still love her voice, don’t get me wrong. She’s a talented lady. It’s also nice to see she doesn’t flaunt that hot body of hers every chance she gets just to sell records like some of her more successful peers even though she clearly has the goods to compete. While she might not be topping the charts, I think she has the chance at a long lasting career in the music industry.

I just don’t get the whole Kesha thing. I really don’t. Her music is bland and boring and in the world of pop music, she isn’t really all that attractive. As she shoots her latest video in Downtown LA, I can’t help thinking I have absolutely no interest in looking at these pictures, hearing the song the video is being filmed for or even seeing the finished product. Pop music has really gone down the drain and that makes me a little sad. I know music snobs will say pop music has always been bad, and it’s certainly not my favorite genre, but there’s been some good stuff. I like Lady Gaga. I like Rihanna. I like Katy Perry. I don’t know why. There’s just something in their music that makes me want to dance around my house like a fool. Kesha makes me wanna go to sleep and not wake up until her career is over. I figure that won’t be long anyway.

Maybe I’ve mentioned this before, but I seriously love Katy Perry. I gave her a bit of a hard time with the last pictures we saw of her, but she’s back to true form for these ones. She sexy, feisty yet still almost innocent looking. That’s not what I love about these pictures though. Actually, it’s not even the pictures I love, but the story. These were taken during Katy’s performance in Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara, California; Katy’s old high school. During her surprise performance at her old school she singled out the boy who wouldn’t date her – the most popular boy in her class – and dedicated her song ‘You’re So Gay’ to him. It’s actually one of my favorite songs Katy does, but I love the message behind it. Any girl who was ever picked on or tormented for being different in school dreams of a moment like this – I speak from experience here – and it’s great Katy got her moment. Sure it backfired when the old flame basically said he didn’t care, but Katy should be no less proud of where she is. My moment came when my biggest tormentor approached me in a bar and said I got ‘so hot’. Good moment for me, bad moment for him. Remember, high school boys. Be nice to the weird girls too. You never know who they’re going to end up becoming. We remember these things, ya know.

I don’t know how I feel about Vanessa Hudgens. She’s like Creed for me. Sometimes I like ’em, sometimes I don’t. Depends of the song and my mood. Vanessa’s kinda the same way except it depends on the pictures. I’m really feeling the vibe in these ones. I like edgy Vanessa. It’s way more believable than the sweet as sugar, innocent as a kitten Vanessa she usually tries to sell us. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a girl being a little on the wild side. Just look at Avril Lavigne. That chick really knows how to pull the rocker chick thing off. Vanessa really channels her inner Avril in these pictures and I have to admit, I love the result. I’ll take this Vanessa over the Disney friendly version any day and my guess is, her boy Zac would too.

Oh Shakira Shakira! This woman… oh my heavens. I may possibly be at a loss for words here. Luckily for you, you have these pictures of Shakira on the set of her music video in Barcelona to keep you occupied. How can anyone even read by little blurb here when their eyes are being scorched by the hotness that these pictures show. I have no idea how Shakira can hit the stage in outfits that would make a stripper blush and not look trashy but she does it. This is a woman that knows her body, loves her body and loves that we love her body. It doesn’t hurt that she can write a catchy pop song either. Shakira is probably my favorite pop-tart because she can pull off looks other women could never dream of. Imagine Miley Cyrus in this get up. She’s look like a hooker. Shakira, on the other hand, looks almost classy. I mean, maybe a bit on the trashy side of classy, but that’s why we love her.
