Normally I’m a sucker for a redhead but I just can’t convince myself to like Phoebe Price. There’s just something about this woman that has always rubbed me the wrong way. She just doesn’t strike me as the hard working actress sort. She strikes me as the “here, let me take my clothes off so you’ll hire me” sort. Don’t jump on me for that. It’s just the impression I get and I could easily be wrong. If I am, I’ll gladly apologize to Phoebe and never say another bad word about her. Here’s how I get that impression of her – I know her name and I know her face but only because I’ve seen her show up to various movie premieres wearing next to nothing, stealing the spotlight away from the people who actually had something to do with making the movie. That has just always seemed so classless and tasteless to me. Find your own spotlight instead of using your body to steal someone else’s.

I love Sara Jean Underwood. I really and honestly do. I also really and honestly love these pictures but, sticking with the whole honesty thing, these aren’t my favorite shots of Sara Jean. Although she certainly looks beautiful and ultra sexy, I prefer her more fun looking photo sets, particularly those from “Attack of the Show”. T me, Sara is sexiest when she’s playing up her geekiness because that’s really what makes her special to me. She isn’t the typical blond bombshell. She’s special and I think some of that specialness is missing in these photos. All the same, she looks beautiful. These pictures just aren’t my favorite.

Jennifer Ellison is absolutely stunning. There’s nothing about her I don’t like and this time, I actually mean that. I loved her in “Phantom of the Opera” and loved her appearances on “Loose Women”. There’s just something about her that I find unbelievably appealing and that something runs a lot deeper than good looks. I suppose it’s something about her personality. She always seems to be so happy. Sure she isn’t smiling in all of these photos but she always has a very content sort of look on her face. I like that. She seems like a very relaxed person. I can’t wait to see where her career takes her from here.

See now, this is why I have a hard time not getting all judgey with Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison. I want to believe that they’re really in love and they’re super happy and that they just couldn’t wait until she turned 18 to be together. True love waits for no man, right? It’s possible. But then I see pictures like these ones of a hyper-sexualized 17 year old girl who happens to be married to a 51 year old man and I get the creeps. I can’t help it. She’s cute, yes. She’s gorgeous, in fact. She’s also seriously making my Mom instincts come bubbling to the surface and those instincts are buried pretty deep, let me tell you. I just want to tell her there is another way – that she doesn’t have to parade around for her creepy old man hubby to make a name for herself. Of course, it is her choice and if Courtney’s own mother is okay with it, there must be something I’m not seeing. I hope.

There’s a reason Lara Stone is often considered one of the world’s top fashion models. She’s absolutely stunning and she is good at what she does. Here, Lara attends a tea reception to congratulate Sport Relief and she looks beautiful. I like the fact that Lara had a big hand in making it okay to have a gap in your teeth when she hit the big time. I’m all for different kinds of beauty and I really think Lara, while also beautiful in the more traditional sense, is a great example of a different kind of beauty. The gap in her teeth doesn’t make her less attractive. It makes her unique and it makes her special. I love this woman.

Are we really still talking about this girl? In my always very humble opinion, Courtney Stodden (or the Teen Bride as she’s likely more commonly known) is a whole new low in “famous for being famous” celebrities. As a culture, I think we’re often fascinated by things we don’t understand. I think we like to be angry and outraged and for a lot of people, 16 year old Courtney’s marriage (her husband is 51 year old actor, Doug Hutchison) has drawn so much attention for both of those reasons. We not only can’t understand why this beautiful young woman would marry a man so much older than her but also why her mother would give permission for such a thing to happen. It makes people angry. I try to keep an open mind about everything but this one is really tricky for me. Here in Malibu, Courtney actually looks happy. Maybe all the outrage is unwarranted. If she’s happy, healthy and feels good about the decisions she’d made, that’s her business. I don’t believe a girl her age is incapable of making smart decisions. When I was 16, I was more mature than many of the older people in my life. Somehow that’s changed now and at 30 I’ve the maturity of a teenager, but that’s beside the point. I just hope Courtney doesn’t look back on this time in her life one day and regret not really taking the time to be a teenager. I worry for her but I suppose it’s really none of my business. I wish her the best of luck although I think she’d have a much better chance of having a healthy and happy life if the press would turn the cameras off.
