Oh Naya Rivera. How much do I freaking love Naya Rivera? While I haven’t loved Glee as much as I did in season one for quite some time now, I still love my Naya. The woman is so beautiful and so talented. I can’t wait to see what next season will have in store for Santana Lopez although I have to be honest, I’m a little unsure of what the show is going to be like without Cory Monteith. He was such a big part of the show. Even if they bring Mark Salling, Amber Reilly, Heather Morris and Harry Shum Jr. back to try to fill the void, the show will never be the same. At least seeing Naya will give me a reason to find out because I’m not sure I’d tune in otherwise. Anyway, back to the subject at hand which is, of course, these gorgeous shots of Naya at the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto. I love the outfit she chose and I love her hair and makeup. The lady looks incredible. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this woman, on Glee and beyond.

I may have been a little hard on Glee the other day when I said the only reason I’d still watch was to see Naya Rivera. I mean, it’s mostly true but I probably didn’t have to write it. I like being honest though. What can I say? I’ve been very disappointed with the last few seasons and now that Puck, Mike, Tina and Britney are gone, I can’t help thinking I’ll be even more disappointed. Ah well, there’s still Santana Lopez – one of the most interesting characters on the show, thanks in no small part to Naya’s performance as the character. She really sells the Santana character. I only hope she doesn’t get typecast in that kind of role. I don’t think she needs to worry about that too much though. She is an incredibly talented, incredibly beautiful young woman. I think she could really go places if she makes smart career decisions.

I don’t really believe in having a guilty pleasure. If something brings you pleasure and it doesn’t involve hurting something, why feel guilty about it? That is why I say Glee is not my guilty pleasure. I enjoy the show and have since season one. I enjoy it less now than I used to but I still tune in every time it’s on. I do have a lot of complaints about the direction of the show and my biggest complaint is featured prominently in a bikini in these photos from Hawaii. I love Naya Rivera. I think she’s beautiful, talented and all of that good stuff. I also think she’s woefully underused on Glee. Santana Lopez is one of the most interesting characters on the show. Why not give her some new and interesting stories to sink her teeth into? The overall quality of the show would improve by leaps and bounds. Mark my words.

Lovely Sofia Vergara. This woman is, in my humble opinion, everything a woman should be. She’s not only stunningly beautiful with one of the best rear ends in the business, she’s also funny, intelligent and knows the difference between being sexy and being slutty. There are rumors that she’s quite the diva, but ever since Jennifer Lopez showed a different side of herself on “American Idol” I’ve been a bit hesitant to dismiss women on diva rumors alone. Everyone she works with seems to like her, she isn’t afraid to make fun of herself, and while she can come across as a bit full of herself, I don’t think that’s entirely undeserved. While some may be tempted to call me a hypocrite for calling out Katherine Hiegel’s diva-tude and basically ignoring Sofia’s there is one significant difference – some of Katherine’s biggest critics have been the people who have worked with her and her fans while the same can’t be said for Sofia. I love this woman and I hope she’ll continue to do well.

I adore – absolutely adore – Eva Longoria. She’s beautiful, talented, smart and outspoken. She uses her position as a public figure to support causes that are important to her and she always does so in an intelligent and passionate way. I don’t subscribe to the theory that actors/actresses/musicians should do what they’re paid to do and keep their opinions to themselves. Clearly Eva doesn’t either and I respect and admire her for that. Here on the set of “Extra” at the Grove in Los Angeles, Eva looks beautiful. I have to admit to being slightly distracted though because, come on, Mario Lopez is in the photos too and that man is just ten kinds of smoking hot. Great pictures over all.

So “American Idol” producers have foolishly ignored my suggestion to bring Avril Lavigne on as a judge for the show’s next season. They chose Mariah Carey instead. I’m going to go ahead and call that a massive mistake. Mariah is a nutcase – a talented nutcase, but a nutcase none the less. Crew members have said she was a nightmare to work with during her stint as a guest mentor a few seasons back. The same crew members have said Jennifer Lopez was a delight. I’m not sure what they would say about Avril, but I guess we’ll never know. None of that matters though. What matters is the fact that Avril Lavigne is on vacation in Mexico which means we can expect at least another set – maybe more – of gorgeous Avril Lavigne bikini pictures similar to this one. I can’t complain about that. I think Avril is gorgeous. More than that, she’s unique. She does things her own way – her hair for example – and I think that’s just fantastic. I think she would’ve been a great judge but hey, can’t win ’em all, I suppose.
