I love Amber Heard. I don’t get nearly enough opportunities to write about her. She’s the sort of girl I’ve always really had a soft spot for. Sure she’s gorgeous but she’s also a gutsy girl that isn’t afraid to do things her own way. I’ve been a fan for a long time and have always loved the fact that she tries to bring depth to roles where there isn’t always a lot of depth in the way the character was written. When she was 17, she quit school to travel to New York to be a model but headed out to Los Angeles instead to pursue acting because she felt it would be more fulfilling. Based on her career choices, I have to assume she’s found it is.

I won’t lie. I’m loving this beach vacation Vanessa Hudgens seems to be on. She looks like she’s having a great time with her new boyfriend Austin Butler and that’s so good to see. Vanessa has had a rough go of it so seeing things starting to look and seeing her with what looks like a very genuine smile on her face is great. I remember back when the second set of naked Vanessa Hudgens pics hit the net. I really thought a lot less of her for them. Sort of a fool me once sort of deal. I felt bad about that when word came out that the second set was actually taken at the same time as the first set and that whoever had stolen them was splitting them up into groups to release every time Vanessa had a new project coming out. That seems like more than a ploy to make money or embarrass her. That seems to me like a personal grudge. It’s a shame. She made a mistake but Vanessa seems like a strong young woman capable of moving on and rebuilding herself. Perhaps her relationship with Austin is another step on that journey.

In my always humble opinion, Selena Gomez really got it right. While a teen face base is great and surprisingly loyal, they also have a notoriously short attention span. Selena (or more likely, her team) recognize that and she’s now moving toward a more mature audience. What she isn’t doing, however, is turning her back on the fans that got her to where she is. Instead of bursting back onto the scene with a super sexual new image that often alienates younger fans, Selena is gradually evolving. Here in Puerto Rico, we see a sexier side of Selena but no a sleazy one. She looks stunning but most importantly, she still looks classy. She’s leaving something to the imagination and to me, that’s far sexier than letting everything hang out. It’s also not compromising her morals or relying on her body and her looks to sell her work. I respect this girl more and more every day.

There was a time when I wasn’t a big fan of Vanessa Hudgens but that time has passed. I may be perhaps the only person in the world that enjoyed “Suckerpunch” but that doesn’t change the fact that I did enjoy it and that had a lot to do with Vanessa Hudgens. I haven’t been a fan of her more teen targeted work like “High School Musical” and the related films/music but I really think Vanessa has what it takes to have a bright career. She’s talented and she’s beautiful – two things that will get you far in the industry. Here in Hawaii, Vanessa seems to be having a great time with her new boyfriend, Austin Butler. I think they make an absolutely adorable couple and I love the fact that they don’t try to hide their affection for each other from the paparazzi. I hope these two stay together. They seem very happy and Vanessa deserves the happiness.

I love Rihanna as much as the next person, perhaps even more, but I have to admit, I’m a little bit worried about her. According to several popular gossip sites/magazines she has been spending time with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and has even been flying to see him in LA. I’m really hoping that isn’t true. Of course what she does with her life is her decision. Of course it’s entirely possible he’s changed. It just concerns me. If I had to guess, I’d say the rumors aren’t true. I’ve seen a lot of pictures of Rihanna, especially pictures like these from her vacation in Hawaii. Chris hasn’t been in any of these pictures and judging by how many pictures have shown up, I have to assume she’s been in Hawaii for a while. Perhaps that’s wishful thinking on my part but until I know for sure otherwise, that’s the assumption I’m going to go with. Rihanna is a strong, confident, beautiful woman regardless of whether or not the rumors are true and I respect her deeply. If she chooses to take him back, that’s her decision and I’ll stand by her. Doesn’t mean I won’t worry for her though.

I have no idea what’s going on here. For the longest time, I never saw Maria Menounos’ name pop up on my list of assignments and now it seems she’s in every batch I get. I don’t know how I got so lucky but I hope it continues. Maria is one of my favorite female celebs in the industry today. She seems to be so grounded and approachable. Sure she’s absolutely stunning but she also doesn’t seem stuck on yourself. She isn’t afraid to have a little fun with her image and even in shoots like this that are a little more stuffy, she manages to look like she’s having fun. She seems like such a positive, happy person and that appeals to me. I love this woman. I’m thrilled I’m seeing so much of her these days.
